TV suddenly has no power / power button non-responsive
I hate to say this but you are looking at a repair cost to get this going again. You may have some luck leaving the unit unplugged for a few weeks and then re trying it but that is a long shot. If it were my unit I would recycle the old one and replace with a used or new unit. If the problem is power supply related repair charges can be in the 40-60 dollar range. Decide on your own what is best for you but the unit will need repair by a shop technician most likely.
Tv stuck in veito
This is the best solution for your problem as a 40 year experience with wires etc.
Go to the source of your cable signal connector .
Open it and clean the terminals with emery paper , sand the end of the cable shiny clean from corrosion , get a new barrel connectors with gold terminals if possible lengthen the ends of the cable , insert and tighten good, use thick rg-16 or rg 40 cable with good insulation ends crimped professionally with a crimpier or buy ready made , not from dollar store. Get a gold plated professional splitter if you need one or two , it will cost about 15 or more each . Make the cable runs as short as possible, using the thick good cables. If needed get a signal magnifier. From radio shack or the source etc. Connect them good and tight . Ground the splitters . Problem solved , you will get crystal clear channel 2 to 7 including 3 and 4 . Isolate the TV cable from other cables and power wires.

CH3 display won't go off! HELP!
HELLO
I don't think you'll get rid of the on-screen ident until you get the original remote. The symbol you need to look for is a TV screen with a cross in it
[+] a bit like this. It is possible that another SANYO remote may do the job for you, but is best to have the remote which goes with the TV.
Hope this helps (:-)
Tape will not play and will not eject from my
Try first to unplug and replug after a few minutes. If this fails disassembly and physical removal is the only way. The tape may also be dammaged. In order to disassemble unplug and remove back cover, Remove (label)all connectors between vcr assembly - bottom section - and TV ***'y unscrew the two deep seated screws holding the VCR to the front chassis, remove the top lid with boards, Check to see if the tape is wound around the head (aluminum cylinder) and remove any obstacles or unwind if tape is bunched up. On the right side back there is a gear (wormwheel) that can be moved in a direction that unloads the tape from the head and cassete basket.
This is a big job even for an experienced tech and if you want to salvage the tape would be best left to proffesional. If you feel comfortable going as far as suggested post back here and I'll help along the way.
Thin horizontal line across screen, no picture ,
This is an easy repair if you've ever soldered and would not be too costly for a repair shop to do it for you. The problem is a bad Vertical Output IC (usually mounted on an aluminum heat sink with the part on it labeled LA78?? ) and 1 or 2 bad capacitors. Some times you can even fix the problem by re-soldering the contacts of the IC- To find the IC follow the 4 wires that come from the Yoke (which is a contained coil of wires slipped over the neck of the picture tube(s)) back to the board. 2 of the wires go to the horizontal o/p and 2 to the Vertical o/p the thinner gauge wires are for the vertical.
Is tv broken or remote?
The batteries may need to be replaced. If the batteries have some power they may partially function but cannot due all the functions that are required to perform. Your batteries may have lost partial contact. Open the case and readjust the batteries in the case.
Sanyo DS31590 channel display
I found the solution to this problem . If someone accidentally hits the recall button the display channel will show on the TV screen, To correct this problem hit the Info Button and the display channel will disapear. This works only if you have the standard cable box. I have another TV that uses a dual mode cable box, tried this procedure with analog RCA TV but it didn't work. Don't know if this procedure will work for all display problems, but it worked for me.
