Please check the remote control for its infrared emission. You can check it very easly. Put new batteries and do the following. You may have a cellphone with camera option. Put the cellphone to camera option, and point your remote control towards the the lens of the cellphone camera and press each button on the remote control and see whether there is any image of infrared rays on the screen of the cellphone camera. Infrared rays cannot be detectecd by humen eyes, but can detected by electronic camera. If there is image, and still your Tv does not respond to the remote control, the infrared sensor inside your TV is faulty, and should be repalced. for the price of the parts to replace (the main pc board in there) you can buy a new one for cheaper. walmart and a 19in for 120 dollars hope this helps

Hi Chris,
Make sure that the splitter is not defective. Ensure the connection of the cable wire. If the symptoms still there despite of good connection replaced the splitter or used cable signal amplifier instead.

Most the times with these tv's it is a power supply issue. If your planning on repairing this yourself then I would recommend you remove the back panel and examine the capacitors for any bulges or leaks. It could be the transformer itself but usually it is the capacitors that are the culprits. That is where you should start if any are bad replace them.

No.It is a digital tv.Just require a good digital antenna for a better and a longer ranges for the tvs broadcasting stations incommming signals.After a digital antenna is hook up.When u go in to the tv menu go to Setup.go down to CH. pick AIR and enter and tv should be automatically be scanning for DTV free air broadcasting tvs stations.
