Yes these are the same yellow white and red ports that you would use to connect your DVD player. I believe this television has one port in the front and one in the back. I might be wrong but I believe video 1 is in the back and video 2 is in the front. If you have tried video 1 and video 2 making sure you have pressed the video/input button to select the proper one after connecting your Roku then you have done everything properly. Make sure to try a different RCA cable to make sure it is not the cable that is causing the problem. Also try the Roku on a different television because if it is working on a different television with the same RCA cable then you'll know that it isn't compatible with this particular television.
Channel memory reset
Bryan,
Usually the menu can be accessed from the buttons on the console, sometimes by pressing a "menu" button but other times by pressing both Volume or Channel (+ AND -, UP AND DOWN) buttons simultaneously. Menu levels are usually selected with one or the other of Volume or Channel, and toggles/selections with whichever doesn't do the levels.
My sharp tv model 27k
Hello,
you can fix this by the following
- TURN THE TV OFF AT THE MAINS. This will reset it to default. Wait 1 minute at least.
- TURN TV ON. Ensure you have sound so you know the video/audio feed is OK.
- PRESS THE TIMER BUTTON ON THE REMOTE
you should now have picture or at least response from the screen indicating what channel it is on,
But if otherwise,
More than likely this will be down to your Y Sustain board has gone faulty, when the back is off your TV it is on the left hand side and will probably have a fuse that has blown, replacing the fuse will not solve the problem as it is the IMP under the heatsink that has gone faulty.
You should get the part number of the board and Google or Ebay for a replacement.
Hope this help
Black box appearing on screen
Check if the subtitles might have gotten turned on in the setup menu of the TV. If on a station that is not transmitting them, then the box MIGHT be blank.

If there isn't a switch on the tv where the manual controls are that specifies 100+ then there will not be a way to access the higher channels. The cable company has a converter box that will access channels from1 to 1000. This box connects to your tv at the cable connection and plugs into the wall. These also are remote. The cable co. can show you what you need to know. Good luck hope this helps

Hi and welcome to FixYa,
Sharp has made most features and functions available in the MENU. Even without a remote, the MENU button is usually on the front panel control together with the VOLUME and CHANNEL buttons on most models/versions.
Should this MENU button be available in your 27K-S300, then it would be possible to add channels in the SET UP sub menu. On the other hand, the absence of the MENU button on the front panel control would then require that a
replacement remote control be purchased.
Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.
Tv turns off after 5min,1-2 hrs
This will sooner or yet later get worse as time moves forward why?
You have a power supply unit gone bad in this TV.. The reason why I know is this the capcitors I call caps would look swollen and would heat up to a point that the TV just looses power as the capcitors cannot hold any charge anymore as they are defective. If your SAVVY you can discharge the TUBE and fix the PSU buying the capcitors online and soldering them yourself on the power supply unit. check this website out for reference on how Caps look
www.badcaps.com open up your TV and see if you got bulging caps if you do that is a major issue and it would need replacment. Thanks for using Fixya.com hope this helps please rate!! Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at

TV won't power on??
U should have them file a damage claim with the power company, they have easy to fill out claim forms and in most cases are good about replacing anything that is damaged by an outage, TV's are very sensitive to power surges, so i am sure this is the cause of their problem.
High Pitched Noise
This is a common problem with most tv's today. Its nothing more then a 'singing' ciol or transformer. What i mean by that is that when voltage is going threw a ciol it makes a magnetic field arounfd the coil or transformer and what happens then is if the windings are loosly wound then they tend to vibrate and sometimes they will vibrate so fast that it will be in the audiable range. all coils and transformers will 'sing' but they are way above the normal hearing range. Most of my complaints in the past about singing coils have been from the ladies. NOW LADIES this is no insult to you at all its just a proven point that the ladies have a higher hearing range then men do. Now to fix this problem?? You can most of the time simply replace the part if you can find whats doing it or find the part and tighten the transformer laminations by clamping the outside of it. Using wood or plastic toothpicks up underneath the coil or transformer or siliconing the part a bit. BUT I DO ADVISE NEVER NEVER EVER!!! should a novice or unexperienced person go inside of a tv set as there is really nothing you can do but get the shock of a lifetime. If it bothers you where its really loud and yes I've heard some really loud singers in my time. Please reure to your local repair shop as they will im sure be able to quit down the singer.. Good Luck
