the problem of your LCD TV is maybe there is something loosing up when heated on the backlight board of your LCD TV......all you have to do is resolder it or reheat it with a hot air...........if you dont bring it to the sharp service center

if your tv is connected by any cable unit box.then its a fault of that cable unit box.as this error shows up when the cable unit box get internally malfunctioned and stop catching /receving signals.to resolve the issue replace the cable box unit.just call the cable srervice provider they will check out by connecting another cable box. but if the tv is not connected to any such cable unit then its fauty wires you need new set of wires.which you can easily get from www.radioshack.com.also Check what is the video output of your set-top box. Try BOTH 720p and 1080i. Make sure you define you have a 16:9 TV. ------------ also try this there is a setting in the menus (under HDMI options for the relevent input) that allows you to turn off the audio input from HDMI. This lets you run HDMI for the video, but take the audio from a separate analogue input. You might want to play around in the tv menus and see if you have something similar. change the hdmi menu option in the tv. -------- This will help. It most likely has the capability to tune analog stations in as well. To get to a digital station you should just have to punch the numbers in on the remote IE: 5-1 or 5.1

Sounds like the unit maybe running hot . Try reversing your vacuum so that it blows rather than **** and blown the unit out.

You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information

If this is a new set, return it for an exchange. This one sounds like an LCD set which uses a "back light". This back light is not working. This is a warranty repair or exchange.

All that you have told means your Display panel isn't even priming. This also means that either the X-sus, Y-sus or the Z-sus board isn't powering up the pixels however, I doubt the power supply is faulty since you are getting sound if not then the power supply could be bad and not supplying the voltage to the inverter board. There are several different circuits in the TV that can cause this problem. It seems the TV is going to have to be sent in for service unless you feel you are qualified to open the TV up and diagnose the circuitry as can also be a cold solder connection causing the screen not to operate. Cold solder connections might be difficult to locate.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

I have fixed several of these. The problem is the main board will have to be removed to access the audio amplifier. A qualified technichian should only attempt this due to the location of the main board.

Try the main resets in the back by the a/v in and out jacks. If this does not work, call Sharp Customer Service and tell them that you already did the resets. There is a known problem with a heat dissipation pad for the onboard speakers and they will send a repair tech to replace the pad for free, even if you are out of warranty. At least that was the case with my LC-32D6U.

it sound like you did the right thing . The problem is the mac output for sound is bad or the TV input sound is bad.
try input a mp3 radio to the TV verify TV is working.
put an earphone to the mac to verify the mac out sound is working .
if both are working just tool around a little and you will get it. good luck

Your lucky you got that out of it, this is a common problem with this unit, the solder that is used on the sound card doesn't like heat and melts. You can take the sound card out and clean with alcohol for a temp fix, but this is only a temp fix. Sound card cost approx. 340 bucks my fix was a sound surround system. sucks hey!

It is usally the component board in the back. It is giving out 5 volts less than it should.

I had the same problem with my Samsung and I called them and the guy came out and opened the back on the tv and just simply swapped some a circuit board over .

The haze will also spread as it did on mine the longer you wait .
