My ipod say visit www.apple.com/support/ipod
when it displays "www.apple.com/support/ipod", it is showing you the url that you want to go to. To go to this url, open up firefox or internet explorer and type in the url into the white bar at the top, and press 'enter' on the keyboard. The url it gave you is actually apple's official website. Showing you the url to go to is the ipod's default message if something is wrong with it. Going to the URL will most likely answer why it is showing you the message in the first place, as it is apple's official web page for getting help with your ipod.

My apple Ipod (white 30GB) is locked and I need
Ipod Lock
You can unlock iPod in one of two ways:
1...Enter the combination on iPod using the same controls you used to set the combination. If you do not enter the correct combination, the digits onscreen flash red. When you enter the combination correctly, iPod will unlock and return you to the last viewed screen.
2...Connect iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can’t unlock iPod using either of these methods, you can restore your iPod to factory settings. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to iPod.
If you want to change the primary computer that your iPod is associated with, do this:
1. Restore your iPod. Warning: The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data.
2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.
3. Open iTunes and synchronize.
Important: Apple representatives cannot unlock an iPod if you forget your combination.
If you can’t unlock your iPod and you don’t have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the iPod, which will erase all music and data.
Good Luck, I hope this helps

I have no sound on
Does the song play, or does it just keep skipping to the next song (does it show the song has length or not). If so it might be a dirty headphone jack.
My iPod keeps pausing!!
I got this fix from someone on one of these forums so I can't take the credit. It seems to sort the problem out though. Basically the ipod firmware auto pauses when you take the headphones out. Sometime the jack is so sensitive (especially if you buy new phones), that it thinks that you have removed them when you haven't. There is no way of turning this function off (that I know of). However, if you install Rockbox instead (a different operating system that has loads more functionality) then you can switch this function off, resolving the problem.
The only drawback is that you have to work with Rockbox. I only downloaded it last night but it looks pretty neat, way better than the default ipod one.
To switch it off you go to
Settings > Playback Settings > Pause on Headphone unplug > then there are 3 options to play with.
It's worked for me and stopped the infuriating pausing of tracks sometimes a dozen times per track. Relief!
I need to add songs but i dont know how
. Download the latest version itunes . It is free and you can obtain it from the Apple website. It could have come with your iPod on an installation CD. Makes sure your computer meets the requirements. You can find older versions on the web, but they have limitations.
2. Scan your computer for songs to add to the library.
3. Connect your iPod to your computer with the USB cable that came with your iPod. The iPod screen should say "Do not disconnect".
4. Open iTunes. Your iPod should appear under Devices in the bar to the left.
5. Follow the instructions for naming your iPod and changing the initial settings if the iPod has not been plugged into a computer before.

It will come on to the main page but the click wheel won`t move
Look on top of the ipod to see if the switch color is orange, which means the ipod is locked. Switch the thing the other way to unlock. Also, make sure you got the latest software updates for the ipod to fix click wheel sensitivity issues. You can also do a reset- push the center button and menu button at the same time until the apple logo appears. Then you can release your death grip on the thing. Take the thing back to the store if your within your warranty and have them deal with it if you still got problems. Cheers.
Wheel won`t work
Do a reset- push center button and menu at same time and release when apple logo appears. Also, make sure you got the latest ipod software updates, cause the updates will fix sensitivity issues. If that don't work then your ipod is fu.k.d up in which you can take it to the Apple store for exchange if your within your one year warranty or you bought an extended warranty.
Whenever i plug my ipod into wither my wall
Your battery if fu.k.d up. Take the thing back to Apple store for free replacement if your within one year and you didn't spill any water on it.
You don't even need your receipt cause they just type your serial # in to see if it is within the 1 year warranty.

1. Plug the iPod into the primary computer linked to that iPod, the first computer you synchronized it with unless you have designated another computer as the primary computer.
2. Open iTunes and sync the iPod as normal.
3. Remove the iPod, following the normal removal procedure. The iPod unlocks automatically as you remove it.
Ipod needs to restore to factory settings and
Un-install and re-install iTunes. The software update should be in the program folder.
Then use the Five Rs to restore the iPod. You will lose the data that is currently on it if you restore but you can always re-sync the data to the iPod.
