i have a rca dvd and vcr drc8335 its locked on hello it keeps saying hello over and over

AS long as its a newer SD card you will be fine. Stick with name brands like Kingston, Samsung HP etc. Stay way from cheaper cards as they wont work as well.

return for replacement! if this is new you should have no problem turning it on!

On one or both? Take a flash light and look close at the screen while playing something. If you can see the picture on the screens then it is a back light problem. They are not easy to repair.

dvd players are a touchy thing and when they start doing this its time to get a new one or have it repaired.

Replace the strip wire that connects laser pickup unit to main baord at first. If do not help, repalce the laser pickup unit.

Remove the main battery and power on, if no! check power supply that it puts out the correct voltage, if okay! the main board would need to be replaced, not cost effective to repair, cheaper to replace.

I would open it up and use some alcohol on a qtip and clean the laser. Small piece of round glass under the disc

If that doesn't work I would replace it, most likely coincidence on it breaking although you can't rule out being dropped or similar. However your dvd player parts are hard to get and rarely worth the time to fix they have gotten so cheap.. Thanks!

• I would give it a good cleaning with a disk player cleaning. Those disks have little bristles on them that "sweep" the lens and clean it real well. Remember that if the lens is so dirty that it won't play any DVD you may need to run that cleaner disk a few times to get the lens back to normal working condition.
• A lens cleaner disk should be ran one time a week to avoid problems with playing disks be it CD or DVD or Computer.
• Sometimes players go bad so keep in mind this could be the problem as well but I have had the DVD player in my garage get so dirty I had to clean it a few times to get it to work normal.
