How to upload music to Casio CTK-4000 Keyboard

If your computer has a SD card reader, you can use a 2GB or smaller SD card. Format the SD card using the CTK4000. Drop tje music into "MUSICDAT" folder. If you connect to PC using a USB cable, you need to download DATA MANAGER from Casio website. DATA MANAGER allows you to copy files from computer to keyboard.

Sd card is not able to read midi files

Get a supported SD card. 1GB is supported by most Casio Keyboard. You need to format the SD card in the Casio Keyboard. Midi files must be located within folder called "MUSICDAT". Some models only support "type 0" midi files.

Keyboard will not turn on

If it hasn\'t been dropped or bumped, check the adapter. Work backwards from the keyboard. It doesn\'t take much for the casio adapters to pack a sad. If there\'s an overload in your switchboard, it\'s usually the Casio that packs a sad...everything else is fine, microwave, tv, stereo - just not the casio. Their adapters are garbage and until recently - they\'ve just gotten better

Piano one key loud

Depending on which model you have, the contacts aren't difficult to locate. If you have removed the keyboard bed (which I hope you have...and not ripped out the guts behind the piano! :) the sensors usually sit to the rear and uppermost. They may be covered by a thin plastic (don't remove the plastic tho)

Casio CT-670 Tone Bank keyboard completely dead

How familiar are you with schematics? I've just found my CT-670, There where marker marks on the keys. I cleaned it up. I took it apart as one channels had no sound. I love this machine. I want to find a manual for it also schematics would be very helpful for me too.
I would suggest looking inside for burns on semiconductors. or loose soldering. I need to replace a chip that has no cross reference... that I've found yet... I think it's an amplifier but need to spend more time on it....

I have a CDP-100 and need disassembly instructions

I just fixed my CDP 100 which had a similar problem - dropped and two keys not working up one end.1. Lay keyboard upside down on soft surface. Under keyboard is plastic cover held on by 17 screws. Remove all these and lift cover away. The metal key ends are all revealed.2. Locate the disloged keys. Carefully press them back into position - they will "click" into place. Make sure the corresponding key on the keyboard isn't stuck in an "up" position - you may have to remove the metal key part and replace it again while making sure the key is correctly seated.3. Replace cover and screws.

How to turn the volume on my casio keyboard

It is difficult to answer your question without knowing the model no. of your instrument.
Most keyboards have a slider closer to the left side, a round knob for controlling the volume or a juggle switch in the middle which might be used for controlling many options including volume.
Switch on the keyboard and look for the word 'volume' near the controls. If you can't find it, experiment with the controls. Try one controller at a time and it won't damage your instrument.

Casio keyboard 5000 volume control

You can do a lot on a Casio keyboard. Casio keyboards come with many features such as preset rhythms, auto accompaniment, synthesizer mode, a mixer, a song memory and high powered musical effects. This means that while you can do a lot with your Casio keyboard, a lot can also go wrong too. Troubleshoot your Casio keyboard with some basic interventions.

1.Tighten the AC adapter plugs going into the keyboard and electrical outlet. Check for cracked or damaged AC wire that will prevent electrical current from going to the keyboard.

2.Make sure the batteries are inserted correctly if you are using them instead of an AC adapter. Keyboard batteries run down quickly even if you do not use the keyboard, so make sure the batteries still have a charge.

3.Turn the power "Off" and "On." Move the volume control up midway, if it is all the way to the left, to raise the sound level.

4.Switch the Mode setting to "Normal." "Fingered Mode" will not play with single notes.

5.Turn "Local Control" on to get the Casio keyboard to play sound through its speakers.

No Touch Response

1.Turn the keyboard "On" and "Off."

2.Push the "Touch Response" button to restore keyboard volume response to variable pressure from fingers.

3.Repeat Steps 1 and 2 if pushing the "Touch Response" button does not restore keyboard touch sensitivity.

MIDI Problems

1.Show the "Sound Range Shift" screen by pressing "Transpose, Tune, MIDI" to correct the "Sound Range Shift" setting, which will play the correct MIDI notes from a computer when the keys on the keyboard are lit.

2.Press "Transpose, Tune, MIDI" and set both the "Transpose" and "Tune" functions to the correct values to play the notes with another MIDI instrument.

3.Turn off the "MIDI Thru" computer function or "Local Control" on the keyboard to prevent distorted or unusual sounds from the keyboard.

4.Turn on "Accomp MIDI Out" on a computer to record chord accompaniment data on the computer from the keyboard.
