Your problem is a bad matrix drive circuit or a drive connection cable. There are no user replaceable parts inside this set, so Im sorry to say, you are going to need to call in a trained plasma repair person. good luck!

try ti unplug it overnight to reset th eeprom chip inside the tvif dont work something is short in the power supply

are you sure it is plasma? they started at 42``if so your power supply is dead

put a big big big huge enormous fan behind the tv with back cover offto vent the board that is overheating......try to find wich chip or parts that is overheating with a laser thermometer.that particular part will be like 40 degree more than others

if you still have sound your y-sus board went kaputchange the hibrid power management chip or ipm on that boardit is under the huge heatsing....if no ipm might be one or few transistors went kaboum......

It might be the power supply, check the main power supply. Audio power supply is seperate to main power supply, thats why you have a sound.

that power supply is a switch mode power supply,which means it looks for an input signal to turn on.
that signal comes from the main pc board.
if there is excessive current draw,it will shut down.
check the input,and the screen circuit it is driving

There is no hdmi input on your tv set.
You can still use the component input YPbPr for high definition though.
