Coleman Propane Forced Air Heater w/Electronic Ignition (50,000-80,000 BTU) - Page 7 Questions & Answers
A lot of air comes
What do you have your heater hooked up to? A 20# propane cylinder? Are you using a red high pressure regulator or a silver low pressure regulator? Is this the original regulator that came with the heater? I could be a regulator pressure problem or a dirty flame sensor that simply needs to be lightly cleaned with sand paper. It's also possible your igniter is faulty or your brain box has a short. I've come across a few that just needed the brain box pushed a little in a certain direction to make good contact and work again, using a small wedge behind it. Sometimes just fiddling with it and cleaning it is all it needs. Good luck. Douglas
The light indicator says that
The combustion air switch is closed by the air pressure from the draft inducer fan. You can check it with a voltmeter. When the heater starts to run check the voltage reading where two wires connect to the switch. It should be 0 vac if the switch is closed. Instead of starting the furnace, you could also remove one end of the rubber hose that goes to it from the draft motor and blow into the hose and see if that closes the switch. It may be just stuck. I almost forgot to mention the most important thing; make sure the draft motor is running. Let me know what you find. The air pressure switch is a safety feature to prevent the furnace from running if there isn't enough air supplied to the burner for proper combustion.
Had blackout and now furnace won't start
The biggest items to check after blackout are the circuit boards and the transformer. Also if the furnace was running when it happened, the unit could trip on limit...BUT if this happened the blower would run nonstop with no activity of heat. If no blower, you will need to start with 120v to furnace and then 24v from transformer.
IF I TURN MY CENTRAL AC ON FROM THE BREAKER SWITCH
Sounds like you have a outdoor unit fan motor that is not working, it could be burnt out, or the capacitor may be bad. The capacitor will sometimes puff up, then top or bottom will sometimes bulge just a bit, usually due to low voltage or lots of heat. At least a place to start.
Good Luck,

Is it possible to find parts for old Coleman floor
Dear Sir,
That glass inspection cap is not made anymore, and it is very dangerous to operate with out one in place. Many people are in the same spot as you are.
I have had success working with glass companies, they can make a glass piece out of glass that can withstand high heat, it is time consuming and expensive, so you will have to shop around, but it can be done, but not for cheap.
Those old floor furnaces can heat so nice, Just for the information these floor furnaces are still being made, though they heat a bit differently as they don't get as hot, just a new code put into place, to keep children from burning thier little feet.
"Cozy" is one of the new manufactures.
I hope I have answered your questions.
Sincerely,

Flash code indicates that the combustion air
First, make sure that the draft inducer motor is running. Then check all tubing inside your furnace and ensure there are no kinks, moisture buildup, or cracks.......repair as necessary. Also make sure there are no blockages in your exhaust pipe.
If, after doing these three items, you continue to have a problem, let us know and we'll dig a little deeper. But 99% of the time, your problem is in one of these three areas. :-)
I hope you find this to be very helpful. :-)
We have a Coleman Evcon BW-305150. Last night we
There should be one right above the burner tray. Look at the wiring diagram (pasted on one of the panels) and follow the wires Usually red orange or yellow) to the switch (may look like a rectangle plate with 2 prongs) and jump the switch with a jumper to test.
