Turning heater on : combustion air switch failed to close?

This air switch proves that the inducer motor is running and moving air. If not, check to make sure that the inducer motor starts and that the flue is free of restrictions.....eg. bird nest, ice/snow, or some other critter that found a new home.

Furnace shuts off

Defective combustion air switch. The 3 blinks are an error code. You didn't say, but I'm guessing you have a Coleman Evcon. They had alot of defective Combustion air switches. Your specialists were not that.

Can a wrong gas valve cause a heat exchanger to become deformed?

Hello, I would get another company to come out and check the Furnace. The gas valve starts and stops the flow of gas to the burners and if the gas pressure is not correct, it could be overfiring the burners. So yes they are related. but this is the fault of the service company and if they make mistakes by installing the wrong gas valve then I would look for a differant company.

Limit switch is open

Long as that limit is open then you ain't gonna have no heat amigo. Check your smoke stack for air restrictions that might cause the limit to trip. If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/dan_73bbd84fe1d95b61

Blower motor not coming on for electric heater

Talk about a misnomer? Electric heat works way diff than gas heating. On electric heat multiple strips and a fan of course. But if they all come on at the same time then the breaker would trip so they use a sequencer for that job. Gas heat uses a bi-metal probe which twists around and turns the fan on when the temp reaches 110 in the plenum. Yall either have a bad fan or capacitor OR the thang that turns the fan on ain't doin it. If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/dan_73bbd84fe1d95b61

Blower motor not coming on for heater

Hello, the blower motor typically will not turn on if the capacitor is bad, control board is bad, or motor is shot. If there is voltage coming from the board to motor than that eliminates the board. If you can spin the blower wheel by hand and it starts up then the capacitor is bad and must be replaced. If you have power to motor and capcitor is good that only will leave the motor as being shot.
