Am trying to use skype
I think you have to buy a computer microphone.I had one when I would talk on a different site. They are probably less than $10.They are also color coded to plug into the back of your computer.I don't think they are USB.Computers don't have a built in microphone I'm 99.9% sure about that. You can find them in almost any store that has computer accessories.Just look for them on the web at any particular store or call the store itself.Good luck! How to get sound back on my computer
Try going into device
managerclick start
then control panel
then
systemthey hardware
then device manager
if there is a yellow !mark next to sound then use the properties tab to reinstall the the driver
even is there is no yellow !mark update or re-install the drivers
Hope this helps
I can't get sound.
Here are the things to check:
1. Go to the control panel and open (click) on the sound and audio devices. Make sure the device volume is turned up. Make sure there is device for sound playback (see the info under the audio tab)
2. Also check your system icon in the control panel. Under hardware, then device manager make sure there are no yellow tags on the sound devices or other devices. If there are, you have a device failure of some sort, possibly an incorrect driver.
3. Make sure you have plugged in the speakers to the speaker output
typically it is the GREEN ringed hole on the audio card or motherboard.
Everytime i click on something my computer opens
It's possible that your mouse has been configured so that the LEFT mouse button is performing the action that the RIGHT mouse button does on most computers, namely to open the "context-menu".
Access "Control Panel", and then "Mouse", and check the actions that are associated with each click.
Mute not working
Try going back down windows xp. Vista had lots of drivers problem. It may not support your card.
My speakers wont´t work! i plug them in and I
Be sure you have the plugs in the correct holes.
Feel free to move them around. The bezels on the sound ports are often color coded and will match the plugs you have. SOMETIMES they are not and you must guess.
Also make sure your sound settings have not been accidentally set to MUTE. Turn the volume up and play some music files or anything with sound.
If these speakers use power from the household plug.
Be sure the power knob is turned on! Usually the volume button.
If no external power is supplied these usually must be turned up full blast just to hear them. Some on board sound systems do not have the power to push the these speakers very high.
If all else fails
Update and make sure the correct sound drivers are loaded for your system.
If you have another set of speakers. Try them!
Cheap doesn't matter here.
Your only trying to determine the output works.
If it works then the other speakers may be defective.
Hope this helps!
JBL Platinum compaq 263872 001
Hi
the JBLs are notorious for failure. Could be the amp has blown. Was there any changes to the quality prior to them failing e.g. hissing, baffle-type-rattling?
If its still under warranty - get it back to the store asap, although you may find the small print states that the amp is NOT covered under warranty.
Voice changed
Replace your speakers if they are external by plugging in some headphones or something. If this does not resolve the issue look to the sound card in the computer.
Download and reinstall all sound card drivers for your computer/sound card. If this does not fix the issue, look to replacing the sound card.
No sound
2 things to check.
- Make sure if speakers have a power adapter that it is plugged in. That should give you the green light.
- Where the speakers plug into the computer there are multiple places in a row to plug it in. One is a microphone input, one is audio input, and 2 are for speakers (depending on the sound card you have). Try plugging it in different ones to see if sound works.
