This may be a problem from something other than the router. The site may be rejecting your device that you're using. Try using a different device and get back with me if you still encounter problems. Thanks and god bless.

I suggest using the provided utility on the disk to fix your problems. Otherwise, get on a wired device that is on this particular network, get on a browser, and type http://192.168.1.1/ . This will ask for credentials, which you can find within the provided documentation. Find the tab at the top labled 'Wireless' and, as I would recommend, turn off all connections besides one primary 2.4Ghz connection. Also, double check that you're entering the password correctly. As simple as it sounds, an invalid password can lead to several authentication problems.

We have had wireless in our home for 1year and now
Nope. You know this cuz... you get an error "can't connect to the network" or you can't connect to the internet? Can you connect wired?
The modem should be plugged into the router and the PC should be plugged into the router. A cable should be run from modem's internet port to router's internet port. Plug the PC into one of the router's ports labeled #1-4.
Got the right passwords for your network? Are they saved in your devices? Has your password been changed?
If this is a Cisco/Linksys router you can check the router settings by connecting to the router (wireless or wired) open a browser and typing 192.168.1.1 in the address line. The default User ID is <blank> and PSW is admin. This should take you to a menu where, under the Wireless Tab, you can change your SSID (broadcast name) type of security you have and password. If you have cable internet, you should change the mode to "G Only" or "G and N" if this is an N router and you have N devices. You probably don't have any A or B devices and "Mixed" will cause your router to run at 10Mbps instead of 50Mbps. If you have DSL or ADSL it won't matter cuz your internet won't do over over 3Mbps.
You should also check for the Max number of wireless users. Some DSL ISPs will change that number to 5 or less to keep you from using too many of their resources. You should change that to 50.
