HOW TO INSTALL MUSIC IN RCA
You need to convert First with any converter. 1) Make sure the HOLD/LOCK switch on the side is not turned on. 2) Make sure the files got riped into mp3 file format (right click on the rip file --> Properties, to see the information about the file). 3) Make sure you drag and drop (or copy-paste) the mp3 files into the MUSIC directory.
Downloading music
First, install the software if any that came with your mp3 player and connect your mp3 player. If you want to add music to your mp3 player you can sync with your media player or copy and paste songs from my music folder to your mp3 player that's under my computer. To delete songs or files just go to my computer, click on your device and you will see your files, just click on any ones and press delete on your keyboard. To download music for your mp3 player, you will have to pay for songs at most places like itunes. There is one site that is called LimeWire, just go to
www.limewire.com, download and install the software. Let me WARN YOU, that limewire is
ILLEGAL and there is stiff penalties if you get caught.
hope this helps you out a little.
My RCA Lyra MP-3 (MC2601A) (bar code # is: MC2601A RA190G391F1081 X4201)
I figured out how to fix it. You must first go to "my computer" with mp3 attached by usb. Once the main "my computer" box is open right click on whichever drive the player displays as. A list should appear with the selection to format. Once the format box opens after clicking format you have to change the FAT32 to FAT. Then click format and after that the player should work again.
NOTE: The player takes awhile to boot up the format so give it 10 seconds at least. Hope this works for you!!

RCA LYRA MP3 PLAYER
Try the reset button on the back of the unit. This requires a pin or pencil point to activate. Note that this player must be disconnected from your computer by following the disconnect instructions in the owner's manual only, you cannot just unplug it.
Deleting songs
What make and model of MP3 Player do you have?
most MP3 players show up in "My Computer" as removable storage.
Just browse to the device and you will be able to view and remove your songs.
Delete more than 4.omb
I think the problem is that you deleted one of the syst. file on the RCA Lyra.. These are the files you need to have in order to make the mp3 player work.
Setting.dat
Music.sec
Time.dat
music.lib
and the 4 folders (Voice) (line-in) (FM) (audible)

My RCA home theater system,
Generally speaking, an amp attempts to protect itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.
Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.
You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.
If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.
If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.
