The part number is 258513. I found a new one at vancebaldwin.com for 281.09 which is kind of pricey.
298.99 at ued.net, MCM shows one in stock for 174.48. That seems to be the cheapest new one I could find. Heres the link. You can also try ebay for a used one. I wouldnt pay over 50.00 for a used one..

one of your convergence ic is shorted try to locate the shorted one and replace it.

It does in fact sound like a lamp issue with the TV, unless you are an electrician I would not recommend that you attempt the repair yourself. The good news is that it should be repairable though, but you will need to contact a local TV repair person to do it. If you think you are capable of replacing it yourself you can get the part from www.partstore.com, but again I wouldn't recommend it unless you've done this before.

CK the deflection board for bad capacitors CP150 2200uf 16v use 25v CP114 CP120 220uf 35v If any of them is vented,puffed up on top then replace all 3 Capacitors.
Deflection Board is bottom left hand side with FBT flyback Transfomer.

You have bad electroltic caps please check them and replace

There are a series of plastic retaining clips that need to be depressed in order to work the deflection board from its plastic frame mount.

very easy repair. Install the ITC222 and ITC222A convergence option missing repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com the kit contains the parts and the CD with instructions.

Thanks for using FixYa. The issue is with the failed convergence (STK) ICs which needs tobe replaced. It’s not a difficult job if you want to do this yourself, you should require some basic knowledge about soldering-resoldering components. To start with you’ll have to open the back of the unit and then replace the ICs(STK ICs) which are located behind the black heat sink and also check the resistors as if they are short the ICs might blow again after sometime. There are repair kits available which includes repair instructions with the parts, if you want to do it yourself, you can buy and repair it yourself. Replace the Three capacitors CP150, CP120 and CP114. You can get the RCA repai kit by that same name from www.tvrepairworld.com which contains the caps and the CD with instructions.

Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projection sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem.

Common Symptoms include....

• Screen looks 3D
• Colors don't line up
• One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
• Screen is bowed or warped.
• TV shuts off after powering on. Power light will blink. TV may also make a chirping noise.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the settings menu then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move RED and BLUE in all directions - up, down, left, and right. And you should be able to get the grid straight.

If you can't move them in all directions or cant move them far enough your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

Note: If you TV has as flash focus or magic focus button only try pressing the button. If it fails to fix the convergence your need to fix it. See below for a fix

The loud pop you hear is a spark gap being jumped. That might happen once an awhile naturally due to a voltage spike but if it's happening regularly chances are something needs replacing. Capacitors are prime suspects for aging, in fact when a capacitor(big one) blows it sounds just like that.

Describe noise.. Chirping 3 times? does the led on front flash

I woudl not suggest you personally fix this, but can be and easy fix. there are a few fuses around your flyback transformer that blow. there are three of them next to each other. One to all can possibly be blown. just replace these fuses and this should do the trick. will need to do a screen callibration afterwards. If you decide to do the work yourself, MAKE SURE THE TELEVISION is turned OFF! Flybacks can produce and extreme amount of electricity. And experienced tv tech can have you going in about 1/2 hour.
