has any noise during like flashing thunder/spark?

If so is HV Transformer defective. need for replacement, go to the repair shop for repair

YOU HAVE A DEFECTIVE COMPONENT ON THE PC BOARD MAYBE AT THE HIGH VOLTAGE END.

If there is no light and no power at all, in that case you may have a faulty power supply unit. Try the TV on a different socket first.


If the led is on, or blinking then TV is on protect mode.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

Also ensure that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending bad signal, check if you get same problem with no receiver box or dvd connected.

If that does not work, and you keep having a flashing led on front of the TV, and tv turning off by itself after a while, that indicates a fault condition.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible reasons.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , startingthe flashing light.


If you are in situation one, then theTV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours,sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faults that can occur are a blown capacitor on power board, a convergence IC has blown, or a fault on Digital board.

Check also the video cable or any external connection cable, if the cable is shorting, or the connector is bad, you can get same flashing state because of the video cable.

The small part you describe is the degaussing thermistor. It only works for the first half-second when the set is first turned on, and it sends power to the degaussing coil. If you are careful, you can solder the legs back on but be careful not to heat the thermistor too much because it will crack in half if overheated with a soldering iron.

The more you hit the set and wait to get this problem fixed ,the more its gonna cost ya. Your problem is a very common one for RCA. Whats happening is theres several grounds around the tuner sheilds and tuner covers that are intrmittanly going bad because of the differant types of materials they used for the sheilds and covers , so the metals are all reacting differantly to the solder ing in the set. This set if not fixed right away will cause the eeprom to go bad and or the vertical swwep Ic to fail. The repair shouldnt cost more then 125 to 175 bucks or your getting ripped off!! Try to check the power supply output side where anything could came into contact with positive and negative line for which when you press play button then it shuts down.

RCA video cables handle analog signals. HDMI cables carry digital video signals. You need a converter. If you are using a component video converter, check if you swapped two of the three RCA video cables. (There are some A/V projectors that can do the translation of RCA and HDMI internally. Most modern tv remotes are not normally designed to be repaired. You will possibly need to replace it. there are plenty of cheaper after market version that will do the job just as well. Your other option, and yes I know this is a silly answer, when you want to mute the TV is to simply press the volume down button to zero then turn it back up when you want sound.
