If I'm Correct There Is Only One Set Of Inputs On That Model TV. What Inputs R U Reffering To?

The input on the tuner needs to be replaced. It will have to be unsoldered from the outside of the tuner and there is a lead inside of the tuner that has to be unsoldered to get the old one off. You will then have to solder the new one back into those places. The input is only a buck or two. An old trick that some people do, is get a small piece of aluminum foil and stick it into the hole, and then reconnect the cable. Just make sure the foil is all the way in, and not touching the metal on the outside of the input. That will help a lot of times.

You cant unless you have been trained to trouble shoot solid state electronics as this set has no user serviceable parts inside and is best left to the pro tech to service. good Luck

typical problem with an older set. sounds like the crts starting to fade as manufactureres Im thinking build into a set faults that they know will happen after a certain time frame and most do this is why there are so many reoccouring falures in a tv sets life. this is simply my thoughts on this subject!! You could have your local tv guy shoot the tube (not with a gun!!) with a crt rejuvenator to maybe clean off the grids of the tube. sometimes this will help BUT its a risk also Sometimes it will ruin the picture tube also. I have a set that I rejuvenated the tube 4 years ago as it looked like crap but to this date s its stil looking good as it did when new!

You apparently have a high voltage arc. Possibly the anode lead to your picture tube. Also the flyback transformer could be arcing. If you're not experience with tv repair, you need to have a tech check it for you. The circuits operate at very high voltage and if you get into it you can get a possibly fatal electrical shock. No you didnt answer the most important questions> When the tv"blinks" does the sound go on and off with the picture? Or does the picture go out to a black screen or a grey screen? or does the whole set seem like its shutting off and on again? or does ir seem like the tvs trying to tune in a channel but keeps going past the right frquency? Answer these questions and we can get somewhere.

Are you saying the input for the rf dosent work?? Have you tryed the video input?? Do you get any picture on the tv at all, i.e. a blank screen, lines white screen, ect, ect. Cable jack dosent work???? Ok I think I know what you mean, but PLEASE in the future dont make me quess ?? Give as much info as possible if you want help?? Pleasse?? It sounds like the typicale RCA tuner problem as RCA's have been having this problem since they went over to canada ( and no insult to the kanooks LOL) No really since RCA was bought by Thompson corp they have been having problems with their on board tuners and the tuner sheilds. Almost every set sold in the past have had this problem and to this date. Im not sure who they paid off not to have a class action law suit against them?? Its a commonm problem that will cost you abot 75 to 150.00 Bucks to have fixed once and for all. .BUT IF YOUR NOT A TECH!!!!! do not attemt this repair as it will kick you in the butt as these sets as well as all tvs hold a very high voltage charge that will kill ya if you dont know where or what your doing!! Unplug the tv set for 30 seconds, plug back in and turn set on. if this does not return your audio you need and you're NOT still under warrantee you should at least open the TV and check the board where the components are mounted and resoled any that look bad. In your case it could caused by a blown fuse, a leaky diodes or a bad solder joint. All can be replaced at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace good luck

Try to check the power supply output side where anything could came into contact with positive and negative line for which when you press play button then it shuts down.

RCA video cables handle analog signals. HDMI cables carry digital video signals. You need a converter. If you are using a component video converter, check if you swapped two of the three RCA video cables. (There are some A/V projectors that can do the translation of RCA and HDMI internally. Most modern tv remotes are not normally designed to be repaired. You will possibly need to replace it. there are plenty of cheaper after market version that will do the job just as well. Your other option, and yes I know this is a silly answer, when you want to mute the TV is to simply press the volume down button to zero then turn it back up when you want sound.
