thay can be any thing from pictuer tube to a transistor on the crt board to a lums.trouble

Tries difference setting in the SOUND setting,see how it turn out.Like setting in Variable setting,instead of fix setting.Setting in MONO setting,istead of STEREO setting.

I have a Samsung 32" that did the same thing a few weeks ago and I am still trying to fix it. The problem is the Main Flyback Transformer is blow with an open circuit in the Primary Winding that means you'll get no Picture. I also found the Power Transistor that feeds this Flyback Transformer was also shorted between terminals Collector Base Emitter(CBE). I bought a replacement Flyback but didn't work so now I need to get the Original part & it's not easy to find. Always use Original Components NOT replacements. Simply put if you're not technical I suggest take the TV to your nearest repair agent but be prepaired to pay for it. Cost of Flyback around US$50 & $10 for Transistor & if you find an honest repairman it should cost around $150 to repair otherwise it's not worth it. Good luck

If the sleep timer is on, that could cause it but if it is not on, then the power supply aka power inverter may be faulty. You can test it with a voltmeter.

You have to have a remote to get to menu to do that.

I have a RCA Entertainment Series 32' Model Number F32650Y01E024C226E just stopped working. no picture, just a chirping loud noise that came from the back of the tv.
Any suggestions?

Does your TV has a remote ?

If yes check on you remote,you will see a sign that looks like a TV box, or something close to it, or you will see an AV sign on the remote.

Click on it it will show AV 1,click again you will see AV 2,depending on how many AV's your TV has.

You are in shutdown protect mode, it may be due to a bad flyback transformer and horizontal output transistor, replace both if one is found bad. RCA is nortorious for flyback High Voltage transformer failure.

Ask a co-worker or neighbor. Charter Communications is a large company....Look into the yellow pages under cable tv in your area!

Ck the hori output Transistor see if it is shorted and problem can be the FBT flyback Transfomer.

I don't know how it got fixed. I left it on for and hour and then tried switching the imput again and it worked. A few hours later it shut its self off. I turned it back on and so far so good.

good morning to you also. i would suspect a line voltage regulator if my horizontal output transistor runs warm and has irregular on and off cycles. replace this regulator when the set comes on irregularly, the relay clicks, and the set goes into chassis shutdown. most of the time this regulator will have about 5 legs and will start with str30... this regulator should not cost much to purchase at an electronics store. be very careful if you are going to do it yourself thank you and please rate me.

if your tv 52" silverish color hd model,problem is on power supl.deflection module(module is on left hand side),famos for number of problems,importent to indicate if green light on front panel comes on and goes off in 3-5sec.if not tv has bad fuse(put 8 amp) if blows as soon as plug it in-bad diode on the same with fuse module.

Check that in the set up menu you have "cable " selected for cable/antenna or signal type and not "antenna"
