call direct tv and ask for a reset. When you do not use your receiver leave it on and connecetd or it will not receive updates and will forget what it once knew. Actually I think you can use the automated system and use (I think...not sure) code 712 to reset all your receivers with out waiting for help.

there is the website, put in the name of the receiver as Samsung and make sure you are under "SATELLITE SET TOP BOX" and follow the instructions on programming. hope this helps!

There are millions upon millions of electronics that could have been fried.  If you wanted to try and frankenstein with other broken receivers from ebay you might be able to fix it.   Also check to make sure there aren't any fuses and I recommend a surge protector.

bro you should take it to the repairer,No other options you have. it can't be fixed by doing anything accept changing it's screen or repairing it, if it's possible
