Hi,
Never charge any equipment which has water log. This may cause worse damage to the equipment and you may get shock too.The only way is you can take it to the authorized Samsung service person and they will remove the water log and check for damages in the circuit board. If the board is damaged too much no other go it cannot be used again. If minor problem service person can handle it.
Thank You

I would advise reffering to the Samsung website and reinstalling the firmware on the unit. This should install the files you deleted.

Try flashing the firmware. Go to Samsung.com support > download center > type in the model number (yp-mt6) click on firmware, and download the version that corresponds with your device. install the firmware updater on your computer, plug in your device. and flash the firmware. (this will erase ALL songs and settings so you will want to back those up first). After that its like brand new. Keep the updater handy, it might happen again.

I have had the same problem several times. Each time I needed to flash the firmware. Kepe the updater handy, I fixed this the first time, and it kept reoccuring every few months.

My husband says to look at the bottom of the song list and click on the arrow for file choices, make sure you pick MP 3 Files. Then they should come up. Or pick view all files. same result. you should be able to view all files, including MP 3 files.

My husband says some times the simple solution is the best. Try this, it worked for me.
1) download your music to your computer in mp3 format (when your program asks 'SAVE AS' you pick MP3 forrmat.
2) import the music to the MP3 program from the program you downloaded to
3) import to your player.

If the internal firmware get corrupted you will get the 'no power' response, however you can still download firmware as per instructions.

My unit wouldn't download with XP, but suceeded with Win2000.

Licenses are required when you are using subscription music (i.e. - Rhapsody monthly). They need to be updated every 30 days. Just reconnect your device to the service and it will update automatically. If you are not using these services and you have transferred music from your own cd's. The default settings for Windows Media Player are "copy protect my music" which would give you this same error. If this is the case, you need to change the setting in Windows Media Player. Tools>Options>Rip Music "Uncheck copy protect my music". You may also want to change the rip tracks as setting to MP3. Then you would need to re-rip the tracks as unprotected, then transfer the files to the device. Make sure you remove the original files, as they will still cause you problems. Best of Luck.
