Samsung Yepp YP-T5H MP3 Player Questions & Answers
Samsung yepp/ YP-T6 reformated now can't put tunes back on.
Use the Samsung Firmware Updater to fix it. Mine did what all of you are speaking about. I was ready to toss it then I tried the firmware updater on the CD and it fixed it. You must copy all the files from the \setup\Programs\ and \setup\Binary\ folders on the Samsung CD to a folder on your hard drive. Then connect the player via USB and run stupdaterapp.exe. It will search for the device and pop up a menu. Check the Format Data Are box and click start. It takes a few minutes and wipes the device clean but it fixed mine.
My mp3 cannot turn on
Re-format? Insert it into your pc, and right click the folder from "my computer" and select "re-format" This will whipe your mp3 players files completely so you will have to put your music files back on.
I do not have English Manual
Here is the page with an english version of the
manual.
I went to the samsung web site and searched for you model. You will need adobe acrobat reader to view the file. If you have problems, it is small enough I could email it.
Good Luck!
Serial Number
The serial # should be etched onto the player itself - you may have to remove the battery case if it's not directly on the back of the player. The serial # would not be on the manual or paperwork.
Samsung will not start
There is a specific reset method - it is probably holding the power button in for 10 seconds - which caused your player to start working after the 10th try. Do a full reset. If the problem still persists, double check the Samsung website for a firmware upgrade, b/c it sounds like your DB is corrupt.
Bootmanager
Make sure the hold/lock is not engaged
In some rare cases, you may have to right click the device and select "enable" - but this is rare, since enable is the default
Yepp MP3
There is a hold/lock switch on the side - make sure it is disengaged - check the user's manual for the location of the switch (available from Samsung's website if you have lost it).
