Sometimes the PS3 automatically outputs it's video and audio signals in composite form. Try going back to your original composite cables and setting your system to output in HDMI. Those options would be under "Display Settings". Hope this helps!

try to check your audio video chord check it if it is open. you didnt mention if your tv has video channel (tuner). if your tv video channel is o.k then the problem of your tv is in the video switcher inputs. in this case you need a service technician.
