it is due to your VIF OR TUNER section has stopped working due to no supply or some parts gone defective. some times it is due to signal absent from the source from you are getting. good luck.

Check the connections. If connections to RGB has conected wrong, this type of fault will occur. Follow the color codes of wire ends both at tV and DVD.

Had to reset the TV and re-tune all channels. But it worked.

Could be a bad flyback giving its making some noise, I would not be turning this on anymore :(

If its worth $95 bucks to you I would take it to the local tv repair shop to get a new flyback put in.

If you can disable the blue screen via the tv menu you might see something happening behind that blue ,you might be able to figure it out from there, also try to connect as directly as possible (tv/computer) even if you have to physically move one or the other, that way you can eliminate possible problems. good luck

Ur board is short,tries to unplug everythings clean it wait couple hours plug back in.If this still hapen, it ur board it bad need it to be replace.

This is an older tv. Generally, yes the power supply would not be an issue but possibly it is, any part can fail and the power supply does make a low noise. Probably, the High Voltage board is the issue though and should be tested. I am going to let you know right now that if you want to repair it, it just won't be worth it especially if you aren't electronically inclined since shops will charge $50 just to look at it. A new LCD tv would probably be in your interests, especially with how electronics are always getting cheaper and cheaper.

This sounds like you have the contrast setting too high, go to your menu and find the contrast settings, and adjust to your requirement. As for the words being blurry, this could be because your tv is HD ready, and unless you view a High Definition channel then the picture will be a liitle blurred.

make sure the c5299 s not shorted again. and if it is not i suspect your flyback transformer is bad . check for cold solder joints on voltage regulator and board.

you have a picture tube problem, or bad capacitors in the screen circuit. I'm afraid not a job for the end user. A repair shop should be able to assist you in this repair. good Luck

bro you should take it to the repairer,No other options you have. it can't be fixed by doing anything accept changing it's screen or repairing it, if it's possible

Hello. You can check HDMI cable in this case. If you're using an HDMI port that's not working well or has been damaged, it could result in a darker-than-usual screen. If you switch the cable or change devices and the TV is at a regular brightness, this is the case.
