Position of rubber edge

When I took apart my vacuum it was hard to fit, but after making sure all the dirt was gone, and made sure it was in the grooves before I screwed the screws in the power head it fit pretty well.

Beater bar makes excessive noise

Mine was making loud noises too. ratcheting sound. Probably the beater bar has dirt and garbage. I was told to take it out and give it a good cleaning, and check the belt too. I know I had a clog in the upper part of the power. It seemed to help for a short time.

Power nozzle will not continue to run. I replaced the auto lock wand and it does run but not continuously/

If the motor is running intermittently you might want to check out the brushes for wear and bad contact against the commutator.

My canister motor shuts off after a few minutes and a red light comes on

hat's the thermal cut off circuit. If the motor gets to hot it trips and shuts it off. When it cools down it will turn on again but it is generally an indicator of one of the following; the cone filter needs changed or the inner filter ring that sits above the motor inside the unit is shot. One is an easy change the other requires dis-assembly, better carried out by a vac tech if you aren't comfortable taking it apart. In the meantime remove the cap out of the top of the vacuum, that will let it exhaust heat better but I strongly recommend getting that filter ring changed.

The white wire from the plug came loose where does it go? Need to see diagram for wire.

It is the ground wire. If it broke off from the plug, replace the whole plug. There should be a place to attach the white wire to the third round prong on the new plug

My powerhead shuts off after about 15 seconds of running. It will turn on again after a brief rest. What could be causing this?

sounds like it's overheating and tripping the breaker. When it shuts down try pressing the little red breaker button. Could be a restriction of the rotating brush or a short in the extension connector. Remove the bottom plate and visually check for a cord or string wound up in the rotating brush mechanism and check the extension tube and flex tube for obstructions... Try the head without the wand by just connecting it directly to the flex tube and see if this makes it work without shutting off. I'm betting on something binding the roller brush and causing it to overheat...

Why does the vacuum shut off when you turn the handle to the side

Something must be shorting out. I recommend taking it to a qualified repair facility.

There is no power to my Filter Queen power nozzle. I have cleaned the connection and there is still nothing.

There is an electrical connection at the canister end and again at the beater end. If the beater is not working it is mostly that this is where you problem is. You need to test first to see if there is power at the canister end and then at the beater end. If there is no power at the canister it could be the outlet or something internal. If there is no power at the beater end then that outlet, or the cord could be the problem. If you have power and that end then the problem is likely within the wiring in the beater or in the motor itself

I bought 2 used filter queens. Does the power

I shouldn't. Check the power nozzle brush to make sure it's clean. Remove thread, hair, etc. that may be wrapped around the brush.
Check the tautness of the belt. If it's too tight it will cause strain on the motor, which will result in this.
Check the ends of the brush. They may need cleaned, or the bearings may need replaced.
I highly recommend taking it to an authorized Filter Queen distrubuter for diagnosis and repair.

There are instructions for replacing the brush at the following site, if you decide to do it yourself.

What if my filter queen carpet attachment does not turn on

Probably the plug in connector between the hose and wand or wand and head... check them for obvious arcing or looseness, visually or by wiggling the connection. If you find the faulty connection, you may find the cord with faulty end on ebay or verizon. If the cord is incorporated in the hose or the wand, you may also nd them on the same two sources... Filter Queen will charge you too much...

Top coupler on gas pump handle ONLY (Majestic 360 SS) is broken. Do we have to replace whole hose and handle assembly?

They now make a replacement tab so you don't have to replace the entire handle grip. The bad part is, most of the time it's the handle grip that has the broken place in the plastic, not the latch tab. That too can be bought seperately though, so you don't have to buy the hose. Call your local vac shop for assistance.
