What do I need to do to repair a Vizio 65in TV

You have several LED strips that are bad, what's happening is the inverter sees higher than normal current and shuts down, this set doesn't have local dimming, there are only 2 rails that drive the backlights. Shopjimmy doesn't have strips in stock at this time but you should be able to find them, make sure to use new strips not ones removed from a salvaged set. Also, the small board is the Wi-fi board but this isn't going to be a board issue.

Why can't I get color on my Vizio M3D460SR

There could be a few potential causes for the issue with the color on your Vizio M3D460SR TV.
  • The first thing to check is the cable connections, ensure that all cables are securely connected and that there is no damage to the cables or the ports they are connected to.
  • It could be an issue with the TV's settings. Check the TV's color settings and ensure that they are set correctly.
  • The problem could be with the TV's T-con board, which is responsible for the image processing and color display. If the T-con board is malfunctioning, it may result in a lack of color or color distortion.
  • Another possibility is that the problem is with the TV's main board, which controls all the functions of the TV. If the main board is malfunctioning, it could result in a lack of color or other display issues.
It's hard to say without further troubleshooting, but it's likely that the problem is with the T-con board or the main board. If you're not comfortable troubleshooting, it's best to contact Vizio customer service for further assistance or contact a professional to take a look at it and provide a resolution. Regarding a Vizio V755-H4.

On a TV this size changing the strips is going to be quite difficult to do without damaging the panel, you positively need 4 suction cups (can be ordered from shopjimmy.com) and 2 people to remove and replace the screen, if you try to do it without them you will most likely damage the panel and the set will not work once you get new lamps in. Also you most likely will find 2 sided seal tape around the bottom of the panel (under the panel and on top of the panel holder), to keep screen cleaner from running down the screen and damaging the panel boards. To get the front frame off, they use clips that are part of the frame but there are a few things to remove before the front frame, start by removing the speakers and any metal pieces on the bottom back, there vary from model to model but generally include the metal leg holders, tcon board cover, if it has a tcon board, ect, you have to get at the panel boards before flipping the set on it's back, once you remove the front frame you won't able to flip the set over without the panel partially falling out and damaging it, it's much easier to remove these parts before laying the TV on its back, also remove the panel board ribbon cables when the TV is laying on it's face. Once you have the set on its back, take a screwdriver and and put it between the outside frame and metal inside frame and move it while pulling down on the frame, and you will feel it release, you will find a clip every few inches, just take it slow or you will break the tabs off then the frame won't stay on once it's replaced, good luck with this adventure, changing them for the 1st time can be fairly hard to do, also look at the bottom of the outside frame as some vizio model sets have small screws along with clips.

Vizio M43-C1 will not turn on

First place to star is with what is called the TCON board. You will have to take the television apart, locate and replace. Some of those require that you upload the firmware to them before it will work again. This is the most logical starting point I can give you but may not be the full problem. If I were to put a percentage on it, I would say this is the problem on about 75 percent of the problems with the same issue.

55 inch Vizio smart tv no video

It sounds like you may have a problem with the video signal on your Vizio 55 inch flat screen TV. The fact that the TV turns on and has sound, but no video and vertical lines on the screen, suggests that there may be an issue with the video processing or display. It could be a problem with the T-CON board, which is responsible for the video signal processing. It could also be a problem with the LCD panel itself. It's also possible that there's an issue with the cable connecting the T-CON board to the LCD panel, or a problem with the software on the main board. I recommend consulting the manual of the TV or contacting the manufacturer for further assistance. A professional technician should be able to diagnose and fix the problem. It's also possible that the issue is with the mainboard or the T-CON board is not compatible with the TV. Thus, it's best to check the compatibility of the parts with the TV before installing it.

Vizio intermittent color - E500i-A1

It sounds like you may be experiencing an issue with the color processing board in your TV. This is the circuit board that is responsible for receiving the video signal and generating the colors that are displayed on the screen. If you are experiencing issues with the color on your TV, it is possible that this board is not functioning correctly. If you would like to try replacing the board yourself, you will need to locate the correct board for your TV model. You can usually find this information in the service manual for your TV or by contacting the manufacturer.

VIZIO E65X-C2 Backlight issue

It sounds like your Vizio TV may have a backlight issue, which can be caused by a problem with the LED strips or the backlight driver board. To determine the cause of the problem, you will need to perform some troubleshooting. Here are a few steps you can try:
  1. Make sure that all of the connections between the TV and the wall outlet are secure.
  2. Check the TV's backlight setting and make sure it is set to the optimal level for your viewing environment.
  3. If the TV has a local dimming feature, try turning it off to see if it makes a difference.
  4. Check the TV's picture settings and make sure they are optimized for your viewing environment.
If these steps don't fix the problem, you may need to replace either the LED strips or the backlight driver board. To determine which component is faulty, you will need to perform some further troubleshooting or seek the assistance of a professional.

Vizio M55Q6M. I have a slight dark area top left corner and bottom right corner is it a back light problem please?

It is possible that the issue you are experiencing with your Vizio M55Q6M TV could be caused by a problem with the backlight. The backlight is responsible for illuminating the display on the TV, so if it is not functioning properly it can cause uneven lighting or areas of the screen to appear darker than others. Other potential causes of the issue you are describing could include a problem with the display panel itself, or an issue with the TV's software or firmware.

Vizio TV model XVT553SV will not turn on, replaced power cord with new one from Vizio ?

Hi Jeannette, it would be VERY rare for a power cord to cause a set not to work. Is the set totally dead or do you get the standby lamp when you plug the set in?

Why is my LED tv intermittently flickering

The cables could either be loose or need to be replaced for your TV or the connection ports are broken. The LED lights or the T conn board could be causing the TV screen to flicker.

TV half snow static, half perfect

The T-con board sounds like the most likely issue on your Vizio. Typically if the video signal is being sent to the T-con, then the t-con resolves it into the format required by the LCD screen. In this case since part of the video is fine and the part is snow/static, I would suspect the T-con. Is it perfectly half the screen? Typically there are two connectors out of the t-con to the LCD, so one if one of those is loose or going bad, then that may be the issue as well.

My VIZIO TV model V555-H1 that has horizontal and vertical lines on the screen. Now its stuck in service mode color test? How can I get it out of this color changing mode?

Try a forced reboot...disconnect the power cord either from the back of the TV or its outlet, at your convenience. Then, press and hold the power button on the TV for 3-5 seconds. Finally, plug the cord back in and turn on the TV. Best to you.

How do I diagnose which board I need for 4k TV that powers on but the screen is black?

With the TV turned on, press the menu button and shine a bright flashlight on the screen at a shallow angle (about 20° from parallel to the screen). Move it around - if you can see the menu or other material where the flashlight is pointing, you have a backlight failure. This may be either in the power supply, or the backlight itself (sadly, with LED backlights, it's usually a blown LED).

TV goes black and white more and more now. See details below.

Hi, the accessories replacement was a smart move. Please attempt to run a channel scan before updating your tvs firmware. Otherwise, I would run a factory reset on the tv and watch for the display-color issue again. Thank you.
