The HT-J5500W can only support a 5.1 speaker system. The main part of the entertainment system supports a direct connection with the front right, front left and center speakers and sub-woofer. The wireless receiver module connects the surround right and left speakers to the rest of the system. You would need a different amplifier/receiver to switch to a 7.1 or other speaker system using more speakers. You may be able to upgrade the individual speakers, as long as you don't exceed the power output limits of the system. The original speakers are 165 W each (front and surround speakers) and 170 W for the center speaker and the sub-woofer. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Check your manual to make sure that your model is Bluetooth enable (unlikely).

The QLED television will only recognize what is connected to HDMI ARC. A digital optical connection wont provide that functionality.

Depends on your headphone. Just follow instructions on headphone manual and tv. Personaly i doubt you can pair bluetooth phones to tv directly, never seen b4. BUT, you can buy from ebay bluetooth TO audio adapter. There is ebay item number 222294284409.
Long story short, its rechargeable and works fantastic. Dont forget to follow pairing instructions.

The 40" version of the Samsung 5200 series 5, UN40J5200AF, does have a 3.5 mm (mini) headphone/speaker audio out jack. The sound bar and the head phone are likely receivers only, the phone produces sound.

If you can download the software from Samsung website, put it on a flash drive. Plug into the computer. Run the program. I have found no free service manuals available online to research a part number. Try calling Samsung directly 800-627-4368. That should work, but if it doesn't your service manual can be found at WWW.electronicsrepair.com for $10.00

Bluetooth or Optical cable.

The TV should have a variable audio output jack on the back, use that.

The quick fix is to unscrew the cover and also remove the faceplate. There is a very small brown ribbon connecting to a slot where It is labeled in small lettering "vol + / vol -". That ribbon will disconnect the front volume touch panel. That has solved my issue. I own the Samsung Home theatre with the vacuum tubes.

The volume buttons have 3 functions... down and up and straight down... that's mute. if that does not fix it go to menu.. the gear icon click on audio, likely we switch to an external sound device like DTS Amplifier... IC's just do not blow up - something drove it to such drastic action! Best bet is to get a hold of a schematic for your device and also check out parts in the environs.

I think I might know if not sorry but, you might be in airplane mode or, try unplugging your headphones did it work? If not then has your phone been dropped at all? Or is the headphone cable rusty? If so, let me know and I might be able to help

Check underneath the connections on back. Mine was on the bottom underneath the other ones. It might be there.

Looking at the guide and information for the TV it doesn't mention connecting a subwoofer at all. In fact it states N/A for the option. I do not think you can connect it directly. I would contact Samsung for more information.
