I had this problem twice, spent many hours on it but all recommendations I found in the web failed. In both cases I ended up with with the local Epson repair centre. In both cases they fixed the problem quickly, in one case even free of charge. As I do not have an idea of what they could have done I cannot give an answer to your question. However, I recommend that you should not waste your time and contact local Epson service.
If your Epson WF3640 printer is not powering up, there could be a few possible reasons for this issue. Here are some steps you can try:
Check the power cord: Make sure that the power cord is properly plugged into the wall outlet and the printer. Try using a different power outlet to ensure that the problem is not with the power source.
Check the power button: Ensure that the power button is not stuck and that it is making proper contact with the printer's internal switch.
Reset the printer: Unplug the printer from the power outlet, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in. This can help reset the printer and clear any internal errors.
Check for hardware issues: If the above steps do not work, there could be a hardware issue with the printer. You can try contacting Epson customer support for assistance or take the printer to a professional repair service.
Note: If your printer is still under warranty, it is recommended to contact Epson customer support for assistance.

Please explain are you trying to initiate the scan from the scanner/printer? Or are you using the windows scan in the programs list or are you using the printer software? Have you installed the driver for ur model of printer/scanner.
I'm sure you have tried this, but you may have to run the "clean print head" several times to clean all the ink jets. I had a similar problem on my 3640 and had to run the clean cycle about 20 times. If you feel you are capable, you can also remove the print head and do a manual clean. YouTube has a few videos on how to do it.
There isn't one! If you need to reset it do the following. Turn off your Epson WF-3640 using the power button.
After it's off Press and hold the " # " button on the number pad of the printer and then while holding down the "#" button press and hold the "Power" button at the same time. This will turn on the printer and you'll see a list of items on the LCD screen. Use the number "3" or "6" to move and highlight the "Password Initialization" option. Once highlighted hit the "Color" start button on the pad (below the Stop button). to initialize password reset. Once that is done a confirmation message will show up on the screen to confirm you want a password reset. select the "Stop" button on the panel to confirm it as "Yes". This will then give you a confirmation message that the password has been reinitialized. Once you get the confirmation message just turn off the printer using the power button. This will remove any password set on the printer and will give you access to all ADmin options within the printer.
Hope it helps you!
Hello, the only way to clean the jam is to first unplug the power, take off the back and look for the paper, pull all the paper out and if you can see the jam pull that out, you may have to get twizzers or plyers to do it. If you can't get the printer to paper feed out.
I think that is a printed circuit board (PCB) problem and is not user repairable. You might try unplugging the printer, wait about 10 - 15 minutes, hold down the power on button and plug the printer back, continuing to hold down the power on button for at least 60 seconds. If it doesn't clear the error code, it's a circuit board problem. If the printer is out of warrantee, it's cheaper to buy a new printer.
