Lots of pages are now saing they are not available ... i am on safari

Reset the router completely (usually a small button on the back or bottom of the router). Then try reconnecting everything once again and recreating your network with SSID name and everything.

I want to connect to BT broadband using my TP-Link TD-WD8901G routerg

Sounds like you need to change the TP link router for a wireless Access Point or a range extender. Who knows what goofing around BT does with their equipment.

How to block facebook

Blocking domains on TP-LINK routers is fairly easy to do. Log onto the admin panel on http://192.168.0.1/ or http://192.168.1.1/ (default login name and password are both "admin"). Once you're in, look for an option under firewall settings. You should also be able to set the hours when the block is in effect.

TL-WR641G/TL-WR642G parental lock

This router doesn't support parental controls, however it does have domain filtering which lets you block specific domains. To log into your router.
  • Open a command prompt.
  • Start, type CMD and press enter
  • Type ipconfig
  • Note the "Default Gateway", this is your routers address.
  • Type this address into a web browser address bar. (Ex: 192.168.0.1)
  • Log into your router, enter any username and/or password.
  • If you never configured one and it asks its probably one of the following. (admin/admin, admin/password) You can also google your model + default login and you should find it's default)
  • Once logged in go to the security > domain filter
Here is the routers user guide if you need more info. Feel free to comment back if you need further help.http://www.tp-link.com/resources/software/200977200931.pdf

How to install router without a cd

You do not need the setup CD to make a router work. Here is how you establish Internet connections on a router...->Assign your PC an IP address in the same range as the router's default address- for most routers, assign the IP address of 192.168.1.2 but you should check from manufacturer website. ->Connect the PC directly to the router with an Ethernet cable.->Open a web browser (IE, Firefox, Safari) and enter "http://" and then the IP address number of the router into the address bar.->Enter the default Name and Password->Your are now in your router's "web interface" Control Panel, and you can enter the PPPoE setting provided by your ISP. Typically all you need is an identifier.. which is an e-mail address + password.->Return to your PC's Network Connections and reset your PC to "Get address automatically-DHCP". Reboot your PC if necessary. If you need any kind of technical assistance you can contact support cell at http://www.vtechsquad.com/

I have set password for my TP-WR642G long time ago, but I want to change it. What can I do?

When you purchased your router, if It came with software then your going to have to use that. It should be as simple as opening the software, finding the setting and changing it. If not, your going to have to be an administrator on the network and go to network settings.

TP-Link TL-WR642G recovery after failure upgrade to latest firmware

may find this page helpful. http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php...om_a_Bad_Fl ash Its not for the TP-Link router but the same principle could be applied to you with the correct firmware. Its worked for me on more than a few occasions. Providing you can ping the router via a lan cable then the chances of recovering it are very high.

I have a tp link

Most likely the telephone company would not have reset your router, unless they provided it to you.
See this article: http://www.tplink.com/en/support/viewArticle.aspx?id=83

Make sure you are holding the reset button down long enough that it reboots itself and see if that helps. I have come across several times, where people have not held the button down long enough.

Good Luck
