I would think you could fix it by turning the machine off , disconnecting all the cables from the scanner and document feeder, then reconnecting them tightly. Turn back on, If not here is the info on the fault.

Would be easier and cheaper to buy a new machine. You have to replace a ton of parts that would cost a more by piece then to buy a new machine. The only advantage is 5 pages per minute. Zero different features.

I have a WorkCenter XD105F

Hello,

There are two possible cause of this, either the fuser assembly may be damaged or at the end of its life. The solution is to replace the fuser assembly. Repairing a fuser assembly is generally not recommended because the fuser is considered a consumable printer part and not worth the time or effort to fix. Second, the toner cartridge may be defective and letting too much toner out at one time, the solution is to replace the toner cartridge.

Take care.

Trying to change paper size from A4 to 8.5x11 on a

  1. Pull out the paper tray.
  2. If necessary, slide the paper tray edge guides so that the guides are open.
    1. To adjust the side and rear guides, pinch the guide lever on each guide and slide the guides to their new position.
    2. To secure the guides in position, release the levers.
  3. Load the paper against the left-hand side of the paper tray. Paper can be loaded either short edge feed or long edge feed.
  4. If necessary, slide the paper edge guides so that they just touch the edge of the paper stack.

NOTE: When loading standard size paper, set the edge guides onto the notches on the paper tray to match the paper size.

  5. Close the paper tray.
  6. Set the machine to detect the paper size automatically, or manually specify the required size.

NOTE: Paper sizes detected by the machine vary depending on the Machine Administrator setting. See the Related Items below for additional information.

  7. If the type of paper has changed in the paper tray, then the paper type must be changed on the Control Panel as well. See the To modify the paper type on the Control Panel section below.
Normally just the guides need to be set correctly in the paper tray, The tray size sensing switched may be bad or the actuator on the tray may have slipped position.

It is entirely possible you have a small piece of paper that got ripped off somehow and it is now blocking the sensor leading the machine to think it has a paper jam.
Follow your jam clearance instructions again and pay close attention and rotate all movable parts in the jam area many times, then reboot the machine multiple times and allow the machine to completely come up before rebooting again, it may be necessary to reboot the machine 3 or 4 times to clear this error, each time following the jam clearance, if this doesn't resolve then you should have an expert take a look at the machine.
