TRY CHANGING THE INPUT SOURCE

First make sure that you have the antenna connected to the RF jack. Go to the Home screen of the TV and select the Antenna TV tile on the right hand side of the screen. (If you acquired the TV from a previous owner, they could have hidden this tile. See the steps preceded by Otherwise.) If this is the first time you scanned for channels, just follow the onscreen prompts (including setting your time zone). Otherwise, go to Settings (below Home in the left column on the home screen) > TV Inputs > Antenna TV > Scan again for Channels > Start finding channels. Use the arrow keys to navigate the menus/tiles and press OK to enter. To save, make sure to select Done and press OK. Probably a stuck button, either the menu button on the set itself is stuck or a menu button on a remote is active. Press the menu button on the set itself and see if that "un-sticks" the button, if it was indeed stuck. If the menu keeps popping up, take the remotes from the room and go back in without the remotes and see if the menu is popping up. Try the menu button again on the TV itself to see if that changes things. If the problem was a remote, perhaps it was laying wrong and depressing a button. Or, a button on it may have indeed been stuck. Bring the remotes back in and see if the menu starts popping up.

Most likely you need to update either Play store or Play services. If you open the play store app on your TV and select "my apps" look for the updates and see if there is an update available.
