What model is your ipaq? Does it has WIFI? If it does then:

Make sure that your WLAN is ON
Go to:
Start, IPAQ Wireless, and turn ON WLAN then:

Go to:
1) Start,Settings, connections tab, connections again, Advance tab, Network Card and you should see your Wireless networks.

From there it will vary depending if your wireless device has security on. WEP, etc.

Chances are, the update is not necessary and may slow it down considerably. However, If you want to update it, you should probably google search for it, although I haven't found anything yet on google.

Early versions don't charge through the USB cable. They need a separate power connection. You'll need to buy a power cord.

You can recover it if you have taken your data backup.

if you don't have itunes installed you will need to install or reinstall. could have a bad usb cable. try a different usb port. hope this helps.

try a hard reset(hold down the 2 outside corner buttons,calender and home, then use the stylus and press the button on the back). if this does not help, go to HP support site and get the latest ROM update, download and install. this will completly set device back to factory settings, your sync folder will still have all contact, pics, appmt.,etc. hope this helps.

sorry, but i think you lost all your info,unless you put it on a s.d. card. yes it does have an internal battery that's probably the cause of the power drain and the lost info. internal battery replacement can be done at most electronic shops. had you a sync folder on a computer you would have a backup. for your daughter's heartbeat the hospital may still have the records. hope this helps.

It can seem like no one knows what they are talking about, especially if the responder doesn't know what you have already done to troubleshoot the problem.

If I am redundant, I apologize. If you have iPAQ Wireless Pack for GSM/GPRS Networks, it simply will not work with windows mobile 03. As of 9-09, HP has no fix.

Make sure you have the latest drivers from HP. Pay particular note to network drivers, but also other updates can have an effect as well. If you have already tried the above, please leave more info on when the problem started and whether wifi shows availability.

If it has been hiding for 4 years the battery is probably broken. Your should still be able to find a new battery on ebay for it. Or maybe from HP but it will cost a bit more.

Find your model and get the latest ROM in English or the language you want. Flash it (there's tons of tutorials to do it) and "voi lá"

I am not very familiar with Windows Mobile, but if it has System Restore, that may be your best bet, as it could restore the system to an earlier state in which you still had contacts.

You can try using some data retrieval software ,to recover those deleted contacts from your uni

install microsoft active sync, (on XP) to synchronise your contacts to your local pc.

this is for 32 bit vista I think that there is a differnt version for 64 bit. just search the microsoft site if needed.
