I would get my money back because only T-Mobile will be able to give the info that you need and my guess is that the phone WAS stolen by the girl you got it from. If it was not stolen, and the account was under the name of the girl you got it from you should have HER call. You will be able to find out if it was stolen right then and there. You can also just contact T-Mobile and ask them. Just tell them you bought from ebay and see what they say, no harm done. This happens all the time with cell phones.

With the drop it seems that your speaker connection has gone. Please open the phone and solder the connection. To do this you may have to remove the MB of the phone. Be very careful as it is a very delicate board. and there are far too many things on it. Even a small drop is bad enough to cause trouble sometimes. Things are so delicate as so much has been adjusted in so small space.

If you want to unlock you phone so you can use any mobile phone provider :-
When you place a new or a existing SIM card from another phone provider into your mobile phone and it asks for a Security code then :-
This phone is locked to the original mobile phone provider. You need to contact this mobile provider to ask for the unlock code (security code) for this phone. You need to provide proof of ownership etc and the phone's unique IMEI number which is located inside the phone under the battery. They use this number to generate the unlock code for your phone.
They should provide you with instructions on how to enter this code into the phone.
Once you unlock the phone, then you can insert a new SIM card in this phone or sign up with another phone provider using this phone.
You could ring the phone provider and ask for the unlock security code because you are going overseas and wish to use your phone with a prepaid SIM card from another country.
The other way to get your phone unlock is to use a phone unlocking company on the Internet, they usually charge a couple of Dollars for their services. Use Google and search for "Security unlocking code”.

The short answer is that this is not possible. However I have done this for other manufacturers products as the format is not too difficult to understand and then extract the data and send it to Word files. I will contact you by email with further info.

Here's the procedure:

press Menu then go to settings,sim center:

this can be and is usually caused by dirt or sweat in the track ball that has caused damage to the phone the only cure i can think of besides returning the phone for a new one or taking it to a cellular repair store is to open the phone and try to clean out the area by and around the track ball keep in mind you risk further damaging the phone if u take this path

ok this is what you do take out the battery for ten seconds and then hold the w key and while holdinq the w key put in the battery and then let qo of the w key after the battery is putten and then turn you sidekick lx on and thennn it shoulf work aqainn :]
