(grab the CD and do it) when i try to install, you left off the word install what? install w7? install office 07? my guess, you installed w7 and word is not happy, sure it wont. just install your office 07, that is the best way. repairing it will be hard. the hard way. There is a good chance we can get this running for you, but it may be a bit tricky. I suspect that the operating system for the new computer is more recent than that on the old computer. Fortunately, the new computer probably has a compatibility mode that you can use. I'm assuming Windows XP as your current operating system, but Vista can do this as well.
Assuming you're installing from a CD drive, navigate to that drive (Start>Run>d: OK)
Now look for the installation program: Probably SETUP.EXE. Right-click on it, then choose PROPERTIES.
Now click the tab called COMPATIBILITY. Select the box "Run this in compatibility mode for..", then select the operating system that the software was designed for (should be on the packaging). Now click OK. You can pick another option if this doesn't work the first time.
Last but not least, try double-clicking the SETUP.EXE and see if you get better results.

you didn't say which system you are running so let's assume you are running winxp. go to my computer, programs and find the file that contains your HP real estate Marketing assistant and delete itl empty the recycle bin and restart your computer. see if that works if not I will suggest you run a program named regcure which if you can't find I will be able to assist you with.

Found a previous install of a HP FAX left MANY bogus entries on the registry, I wipe them clean and now all ok.
