for the model indicated here, maybe a issue with the red picture tube or even a screen control for the red a bit too high.

Depending on your Toshiba model this may be an issue with the hypermodule. When it fails it will make the TV zig zag looking. One quick test is to see if your picture-in-picture window looks normal. If so the hypermodule is the issue. You can google Z1234TV to locate parts.

Double vision/ picture problem occurs due to failure of convergence output ICs in rear projection tv and it is common problem of projection tvs.
Please replace convergence output ICs in tv to solve the issue, there is convergence repair kit available for $70 on This Site that has required parts/ ICs, instructions about how to replace ICs etc for a handy person.

Make sure you didn't bridge anything, knock anything off the deflection board you shouldn't have. All the resistor values on both sides of the STK match up, and most importantly Labeled all your plugs properly and placed them in the right spot, because if they are switched, you'll get a convergence issue. Make sure the fuses are still good too and that all the terminals that all the plugs go into have good solder joints.
Also, there is a voltage divider.
Make sure that none of the wires got loosened when you pulled this plug. (Particularly the ground wire) Let me know!

You can repair it, it is repairable, the problem is power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors.These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable,and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

You need to replaced convergence IC stk 392-110 located in the deflection board .

there are a few shops that can physically repair these. I have personally repair a few. but however...it is very very tricky... it requires some very trick soldering to some very small componets...toshiba was replaceing so many of these they gave instruction on fixing these. it involves replacing 11 very small micro capacitors.... like i said very labor intensive. my shop generally charge 250 for the repair. just depend on who you get. WARNING this is the kind of repair that the technician can easly do more damage than good so get a respectable experince tech to facilate this repair

Replace all of the 10uf 16vdc capaciotrs on the Hyper Moduel PN# 24619040n.

Replace both of your STK ICs, they are big black ICs STK392-110s use 120s or 150s CK all of your 1.8 ohm resistors. Mats Electronics has STKs

You have a problem in the high voltage section of you television most likely one of the driver out put chip on the CRT board plugged directly into the back of your Cathode Ray Tubes if not check the the horizontal and vertical driver chips if they are getting extremly hot this could be your problem

Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung, JVC, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Akai, Pioneer, Hitachi, Zenith, and others. You can get a convergenece repair kit from the link below.

Common Symptoms include....

• Screen looks 3D
• Colors don't line up
• One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the settings menu then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move RED and BLUE in all directions - up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions or cant move them far enough your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

Note: If you TV has as flash focus or magic focus button only try pressing the button. If it fails to fix the convergence your need to fix it. See below for a solution

CONVERGENCE SOLUTION

You will need to replace the convergence chips and possibly some convergence resistors and pico fuses.
This is a a fairly easy DIY job if you know what you are doing. If you have never done this before we would advise calling a shop or if you want to do it yourself get a complete kit with instructions and support from www.TvRepairKits.com

Don't worry about the fuses for right now. More than likely you have a bad lamp. check your lamp first.

With a little background electronic knowledge and luck you may be able to do it. If all selections from the menu are correct and volume is not stuck in min its generally it due to broken wires or loose connections. The speakers are in front behind the front grill. remove it and checkout wires and connections. If all these are good and speakers are okay, the repairs would require professional help. down load the manual from tech support from this site and follow the flow chart for no audio fault. You will reach apoint where its solved or you have enough leads to decide in favor of professional help.

Common problems with rear screen projections. Either you need to refocus the alignment, or you need to have the Convergence IC's replaced. In your owners manual, it should tell you how to refocus the alignment.

It sounds like you jostled the red CRT gun when you moved the set. If the convergence adjustment still moves the red cross hair the the circuitry is okay. Your red gun needs to be realigned. This requires a service call unless you want to attempt it yourself. It is fairly involved and requires some specific tools as well as using the service mode on the remote to reset the convergence after the gun is repositioned.
