Hate to give you some bad news...But, It sounds like you have a bad screen. Samsung had several issues with the screens on this model. You may get lucky and may have a bad T-con board. The small board at the top center of the TV. If you want to give it a try? Buy a used one,so you don't loose that much money. If is the screen? Some people have had luck complaining to Samsung about it. They may provide a replacement screen,but you still have to pay a shop to install it. The T-Con board part number is...

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. hi it sounds like the lvds may just need cleaning also the connections on the tcon board hope it helps
