No picture! The Dish TV guy programmed the tv on
Wewould be happy to help get that fixed right away. The first thing we want toensure is that all connected equipment is on. You mentioned that your TV is on channel 60, to confirm this turn off the TV then turn is back on and note the channel or inputthat appears on screen when the TV is powered on, if the TV is not on channel60 or 73, tune to 60 or 73. Then Access "Modulator Setup" from TV1 by pressing"Menu", 6 for "System Setup", 1 for"Installation", then 5 for "Modulator Setup". Tune TV2 tothe channel that appears under "TV2Out" on screen. If still no picture and the mode for TV2 isset to "Cable", change it to "Air" and change the channel on yourTV2 to 60, if it is already set to "Air" then change it to"Cable" and change TV2 to channel 73. If the issue is only on one receiver, unplug the DISH receiverfor 10 seconds and plug back in. The next thing we want to check is theconnection on the back of your receiver labeled "Home Distribution",this cable carries the picture all the way to your TV2. Start by removing theconnection and screwing it back in, make sure all the connections going to yourTV2 are hand tight. These steps should get your TV2 up and running.
We want to thank you for being a valued DISH Network customer!

Good luck.
Horizontal white lines 27A43.
You have some bad capacitors. They are located very near and next to your vertical IC. I would guess you would have to replace maybe four of these! Thanks for asking!
No sound on 3 channels
This would be a tuner issue, the tuner is loosing sound freq. and this does happend on a few channels as you stated.
The likelyhood of the station not playing audio on 3 seperate channels is neil so please consider the facts here. I would get one of those digtal external tuners from like radioshack.com to test that fact. These tv's are not digital so also consider the fact that it could be true that the audio was turned off on these standard def channels but still unlikely.
thanks this was a free solution provided by fixya.com all we ask is you leave ratings and feedback for the solution. Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at

I'm having trouble with my 27AF43 toshiba remote.
HELLO
Sounds like your RC unit is on the way out! Get on the net, punch in your make & model of TV to find remote controls. There's bound to be a generic remote will operate all functions as opposed to some universal types of control.
I am convinced you will find one - possibly even an original!
Hope this helps in some way.
Horizonal lines at top of tv screen. what's
If those lines are slightly tilted (diagonal) you may be seeing the retrace of the horizontal sweep which isn't supposed to be visible.
At the loss of some brightness, adjusting the screen voltage on the flyback transformer (large, black block with a fat lead connecting to the forward side of the picture tube) may help but it is likely that there is a (possibly bipolar) electrolytic capacitor is failing.
This would be located near the flyback and is marked in some manner as bipolar and will be in the range of 10 - 30 uFd.
If you attempt this yourself, it will require a good deal of caution since there are potentially exposed high voltages in this area.
Some kind of insulated tool is recommended and the flyback will have two (rarely three) adjustment located on it; one will adjust focus, the other screen voltage.
If you are reluctant to try this yourself, it's OK, this kind of DIY isn't for everyone.
Picture does not bleed to edge
this symptom is caused by a poor regulation in the power supply circuit. too low dc supply voltage will result to insufficient deflection, both vertically and horizontally. black borders appear around the raster. receivers generally use regulator in the main power supply to set the dc supply voltage at the value that will allow the picture to fill the screen with a little overscan. defective regulator can result in a small raster. most modern receivers today are using ic (integrated cirduit) regulator. but if you are not inclined with this kind of job, better bring it to a qualified tv technician. good luck!
