Yes it is due to faulty RAM. Try taking it all out and trying one stick at a time untill you locate the bad one

the beeps are post during post the very first work is done by the ram,all the memory in the ram is first transferred to the hard disk,and remains active untill turned off. make sure that your RAM is securely seated test or replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive make sure the connections are secure including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA the ones that attach from your ((motherboard to hard drive)) make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ? hope this helps don

Hi, USB issues - Probably the BIOS. Have you checked the BIOS version? VIA P4V845? Also I get the impression that P4V845 have 2 versions, SX & SM, that it is an Intel chipset based mb and not VIA and that it was probably by one of the OEM vendors for Pc Partner. control panel sounds and audio,audio make necessary adjustments there or control panel,administrive tools,computer management,device manager,sound,could be a yellow question mark? right click to re-install drivers

there are two jacks in backside panel so please ensure that u plugin both the jacks. red for mike and green for speakers

First of all try to disable the onboard sound card.
Enter the bios by pressing "del" or F2 during the boot process, navigate to find sound options and disable the onboard audio. Boot the pc normally, go to the device manager and uninstall any audio drivers. Shut down the pc, unplug the power cord and plug-in your new pci audio card. Start the pc and install the drivers for your new audio card.

It's still probably caused by the RAM, have it checked. If you can do it yourself, clean the RAM as shown in the image below:

Install it back to the computer and turn it on. If problems persist try another RAM, it may already need replacement.

In case your computer has 2 RAMS installed, clean them both. To test if there is a busted one, install the one then turn on the PC, if it works shut down the PC. Then try the other one, if it works too then it just needs some cleaning. But if not, one of them needs replacement. You can still use your computer with 1 RAM, just don't expect the same performance as having two RAM. Also reset the CMOS of the motherboard. It may also help in the process.
