Can't get ECS PM800-M2 to boot to SATA drive.

You need to make sure that your SATA drive has an Operating system on it. It can't boot if it only has a data drive.

I can't install a 500gb

When you install the drive, go to "Computer" or "my computer" and right-click on the icon.
From the dropdown menu, choose "manage".
Click on Disk Management. You will see your C: drive there and it will tell you what it is.
You will probably also see the new drive, but it will appear as unknown. You can right-click on it to initialize it and format it if it is not formatted.
There you go.

POWER FAILURE AFTER FEW MINUTES

Hello,

If your power is failing at a few minutes, you could have a bad power supply, power cord, or maybe a bad motherboard.

If you have a spare power supply, try using that and see if the problem resolves itself. Also try a new power cord.

Check that you have configured the connections properly.

If this does not resolve the issue, you may want to return the motherboard for a replacement through ECS or the company you purchased it from.

Thumbs up my solution if it is helpful!

If your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it

Want to make sure your drivers are in place and no errors have occurred? Simply click start right click on my computer select properties then select device manager scroll to Display Adapters and click on the small "+" you should see the model of your PCI Express graphic card there. If there is a problem with it, a yellow exclamation mark should appear besides it. If you don't see it everything is OK and your card is working properly. Hope this helps don't forget to vote
