Oh boy!!! I did the same thing once in 1964 on a Nikon F lens. I took away one important lesson from that experience; even the simplest looking lens or camera is mechanically complicated with interlocking parts. In my case, the camera repair man told me that the bill would have been $35 (that is about $150 in today's dollars) if I had not tried to fix it myself.
