Apex Digital GB65HD09W 65" Rear Projection Television Questions & Answers
How to take apart to move
You have to remove the screen by unsnapping the front bezel then remove the long clips that hold the screen in, once thats done you have to remove about 8 bolts that hold the top half to the bottom half, once this it is alot easier to move.
GB65HD09W has very poor picture with moving
I'm supposing that you have tried to increase the brightness and the contrast to no avail. In that case the image problem is almost surely caused by a malfunctioning video final module. You must test the voltages at the tubes: either the power source isn't delivering the full 155 volts needed to the final video transistors or the video module itself has failed. While you're there check the polarisation voltages at the tubes, the high tension module might not deliver then at the correct value.
After the Tv has been on for 15 mins the color
I have the same TV and same issue. Sometimes I can whack it on the side and it is ok for a while.
Was told most likely cracked solder joints on the ICs. Plan on taking a look at resoldering mine.

Tv made sizzle pop sound and went out
All depending on the models, but i have seen and work on may units with this problem, there are a few large capacitors on the power supply that are sometimes doubly secured with glue, that in turn becomes conductive and causes faults like this. check all the large capacitors for any low or nil readings and with a fine point probe, carefully remove the glue on the and around the caos, and elsewhere if you see any. Good Luck.
My apex gb65hd09w has power
Pull out Power supply board you will find Poor solder connection around the tyrisitor..And maybe a BAD capacitor 100uf 250v?
Convergence IC's
I would bet its convergence ICs under 20 bucks at most electronic parts stores. Usually though the ICs take out a couple resistors with them when they go.
I need to know how to change modes without controller when I'm using a dvd
Without a remote controller, you may have limited options to change modes on your Apex digital TV. However, you may be able to change the mode by using the buttons on the TV itself.
Here are some general steps you can try:
- Turn on your TV and make sure your DVD player is connected to it.
- Look for the "Menu" button on the TV and press it.
- Navigate through the menu options using the arrow buttons on the TV until you find "Input" or "Source."
- Press the "Enter" button to select the input/source option.
- Use the arrow buttons to select the input/source that corresponds to your DVD player.
- Press the "Enter" button to confirm the selection.
- Press the "Menu" button to exit the menu.
Note that the specific steps may vary depending on the model of your Apex TV. You may also consult the user manual for your TV for more information on changing modes without a remote controller.
