Samsung lists about 200 apps for their bluray players. Part of the difficulty though is that there is no apps button on the remote !! Samsung notes that not all apps in their store will work on all devices. Hold stop button for 6 seconds, then it will reset the entire player, then try again.

are you using a wireless connection? It might be buffering. Can you plug the player directly into your router/network via Ethernet?

The remote can be tested--shops use a card which when remote is pointed at and buttons pressed--a strip on the card lights up.Many digital cameras in a dark or very dim room will react on the display screen in the same way--faint flash will be seen if remote is working.If remote is tested and found to be good---try it very close to unit--you if no response at all and remote is good have a bad remote receiver in the unit(make sure the receiver lens is not blocked or dirty).

You may have to follow the owner manual and do a full setup of all features the unit has.

1. Turn ON the player.
2. Open the tray, wait for 2 seconds and then Close it. (Make sure that there is no disc inside the tray).
3. Wait till the "NO DISC" message disappear from the display, and then press and hold for about 1 sec each button when typing "repeat 76884".
4. Press 9 when it displayed 4 on the left corner.
5. Open and Close the Tray.

Note: 4 on the step 4 might be displayed as another number depends upon your region. Thanks for understanding.

Please check the regional code given at the back of DVD cover. It should be compatible with the ones given in the manual of your DVD player. If not compatible the DVD will not be played.

There is a problem in the laser pickup assembly, blu ray discs require a higher velocity and more precision to play than standard dvd's, if you still have warranty return the unit because there is nothing more can be done.

Turn your BD on without cd in it, wait until appear no disk on screen.
Use this combination : Repeat-5-6-7-3-2-9
You should seen "9" on right of screen.

I have just installed the BD C5900 and have exactly the same problem. Spoke to Samsung and they say your have to switch the blu-ray off and on the front of the blu-ray player itself press and hold the stop button for approx 30 seconds (small square symbol). This is a master reset. You then follow the set-up procedure as you did when you first installed the blu-ray. I did this and mine works fine now and has the latest software version BSP-C5900WWB-1009.1 installed okay now, and everything including internet accessable once again..
