Open a command prompt and type:

There will be a listing for gateway..

Do this with the new one turned on and then do it with it turned off.. I'm thinking it will show two different numbers.. They should be the same .. You can manually change the default gateway to the one that works.. But sounds like the range extender isn't set up properly. May need to do some manual config.

The antenna connection needs to be repaired, On many models it's part of the flex cable, I suspect the repair person didn't quite get it seated correctly. On MOST models, it's a separate cable. It may have been damaged or unseated during the repair. I'd start with a friendly call to the repair person, saying I am having a problem with the wifi since the repair. Return it and get your money back or exchange it. Those repeaters are cheaply made and something as simple as a power surge can fry the connections....but first, try to power cycle the equipment by unplugging it for a minute if you have not tried that yet. You might want a computer saavy friend to take a look at it...sometimes it is easier for me to have the equipment in front of me than to troubleshoot it over the phone or the internet.

yeah same here. You have to find a way to give the DNS settings to WA730RE.2 Options or use the Dynamic mode of getting the ip in the WA730RE or use a custom firmware where u can configure this setting.

Please check the Cable between the router and the TP-Link tl-wa730re.

It should have come with an installation disk, please insert this disk in the CD-ROM then follow the on screen instructions of the wizard.

have you got two dhcp servers running ? turn off dhcp server in wireless router and use the one in the Thomson TWG850-4 Residential Voice Gateway. make sure ip address in wireless router is different to the Thomson TWG850-4 Residential Voice Gateway. make it one higher on last digit of ip address make sure dhcp does not lease out this ip address.
