If it's shoved all the way in and was connected to the pc board inside the unit you will probably need to buy another one. The only way to fix this is to open the unit up and repair the jack.

Romy... there are "membrane switches" located behind the front panel. Sometimes they go bad or get dirty and won't work. MOST times these are a SINGLE panel with many switches. Often they are a pain to GET and install... Only the right one will work! Anthony
