The fuser gears brake alot on these because of the heat. Open the flip down cover on the fuser when it is cooled off and try rotating the roller by hand look into the right side to see that the gear is rotating with the roler if not your sharp dealers should be able to get you the part for around $22 and they could put it in for an hour of labor. the developer is magnet powder, which is mixed with toner in developer unit and it helps the toner transfer on to the drum surface.
If the developer looses his properties, the copy will have dark back side, or spots or similar problems.

On preventive maintenance, the developer, drum and drum cleaning blade are mandatory parts.
