Ink printing problem
Sounds like you already know the answer to that question ;(
Printers today are generally disposable due to the high cost of replacement parts and the cheapness of a new unit. I had a similar problem and replacement was the cheapest alternative.
Installed new ink. it says out of alenment
Dennis: According to an old FixYa.com, urbanhookupz said: "You need to run a printer alignment page like you do when you put in new cartridges.
unplug your printer plug it back in.

put them back in and then close the door.
It should now prompt you to do a test alignment page.

if it does not prompt you to do a test page
Aligning the Print Head
This operation must be carried out when using the printer for the first time.
Aligning the
Print Head positions allows you to print without shifts in the color registration.
Print head alignment is performed either automatically or manually. This section deals with
automatic Print Head alignment only.
?? Ensure that the Inner Cover is closed.
?? The Print Head can also be aligned from the printer itself.

Ink jet cartridge
1
Select the ink cartridge specific to your printer. Canon inks are versatile, so your selection may be as simple as choosing between black, color or a multi-pack with black and color cartridges.
2
Turn on your Canon printer. The switch is generally located on the top right hand side of the printer. Open the printer's lid.
3
Wait a moment. The cartridge carrier will automatically disengage.
4
Put your hand behind the existing ink cartridge and pull the cartridge towards you until it pops out. Dispose of or recycle the used cartridge.
5
Carefully pull the tape off the new cartridge.
6
Position the new cartridge into the cartridge carrier. Make sure it is facing the correct position.
7
Press the cartridge carrier gently until it clicks into place. Some cartridges have indicators to demonstrate that they are properly positioned.
8
Close the printer's lid. Print a test page to ensure everything is working properly.

Ink refill problems
This model Canon printer may only let you use genuine Canon/Epson printer cartridges. If you try to refill these ink cartridges it will not work because the Canon cartridges have an embedded chip in the cartridge that detects the empty cartridge even though it has been refilled.
MX340 printer will NOT feed
Two things you could try:
1) Your pickup rollers are dirty/worn:
Remove the tray, you should see either in the front or back some rubber rollers that feed the paper into the machine. These are much like tires in that they need thread to move the paper - if they're worn out, they need replacing - if they have a lot of paper dust or other stuff on them try to clean them with a moist lint-free rag. (Water only is fine, rubbing alcohol if they're bad)
Also look for a seperation pad, this will be a rubber or cork pad under the rollers. Clean this as well and if it's worn, replace.
2) A sensor is stuck or malfunctioning:
Run a page, make a mental note of where it stopped. Run another, did it stop in the EXACT same place both times?
Look in front of where the paper stopped, is there a small plastic flag right before the paper? Is it damaged or stuck? Try taking some canned air to that flag/sensor and try again.
Usually situations like these are either just simply worn/dirty rollers not feeding paper to the sensors in time or the sensors are damaged.
If neither of these resolve the problem then you may be looking at a solenoid issue or something else you wouldn't be able to repair on your own.
My printer says I have a paper jam and there is no paper in it I cannot get it off there
->'Paper jam' I suppose is the commonest of all printer problems as it can occur due to strayed, stuck bits of papers in pathway of paper tray, outlet, roller etc. I would recommend cleaning the paper inlet, outlet, and other possible areas to avoid a paper jam situation. I have observed that most people fan the paper pile to keep them dry or non-sticky. It's a wrong method because fanning the pile of papers make them go haywire and often lead to paper jam. ->'No paper' error occur due to a paper sensor problem or a mechanical problem with the paper
tray. If you can find the paper sensor, wipe it and the surrounding
areas with a clean piece of cloth. Try to look for some broken plastic
gears or chipped plastic components. If you do find a broken component,
your best option is to bring it to a service center for replacement of
the broken part.If you need any kind of technical support on printer then you can reach at

My printer don't feed the paper in order to print
Could be a number of things but I'll narrow down do you have the pictured printer? or a laser printer? Cleaning the pick up roller and check for "separation" pad appearing to be hard plastic somewhere in line or near where the blank paper hit the go flag Check for 8 1/2" 20# to 24# paper. If all checks out try looking for an individual staple, nail or wire that might have fallen in the rollers. Most likely something is jammed in there like a paper clip, or the day time passers by just are going about their business
