CD player not working
CD Player on my Bose Wave radio/cd just blinks CD and it appears to me that the disc is not spinning. This is the same problem that many others have already identified. I unplugged the unit and removed the battery but this did not solve the problem. I notice that there is a "platter" (part of the lid) that sandwiches the cd onto the spindle. the platter seems tight but does turn. Also, does anyone know if there is a drive belt that may have broken?
Why doesnt my wave radio screen light up when the lights in theroom are on ?
That doesn't make sense does it? A few things first.... how bright are the lights in the room? Is the display of the WAVE facing the lights? The radio has a photo sensor that detects light, but for it to be effective, it has to "see" the light. It could be that you have a bad photo sensor, but I would try a few things first. 1. Make sure the light in the room is sufficiently bright. 2. Make sure the display is pointed in the direction of the light. 3. Make sure nothing is covering the photo sensor (like a piece of tape or something.... maybe a previous owner wanted to "turn off" the light". 4. If none of the above get you going, shine a flashlight at the photo sensor (a bright one). This should turn on the display. If this works (and nothing else did), that just means you ain't getting enough light to the sensor under your normal conditions and you will need to correct that underlying problem first,
Good luck!
I have a very old Bose clock radio (model AWR1-1W)
Hey Pete! Did you take out the 9V battery as well and let power down to re-set? Benimur from JustAnswer suggested: Your described problem could either be a system glitch, hardware fault.
If it were a glitch, unplug the unit for an extended period of time to force the Bose to reset and revert to factory defaults. This would also require removal of the 9 volts battery. Should this be not corrective, then it would seem that the logic circuitry of the Bose radio is faulty. The logic circuitry includes the micro processor that handles all the controls and the displays. Unfortunately, not a user doable repair.
THE CD SPINS in my BOSE AWRC3G but fails to play?
Does it do this while useing the radio? These radios have a few specific problems. The cd may just need cleaning. If you can run a disk to clean it, that might just fix the problem. Dust can block the lens. The other problem is the caps in the system go bad an need replacement. The amp section on these fail with poorly made caps.

My bose CD player is not working my cd are stuck I don,t why
Good luck this should do it.
If you have a cd or two stuck in your Bose wave radio, here's how to remove it and save yourself $99. This procedure is for the radio (model AWRCC1 or similar) with a single front loading cd slot.
PART I
1. First unplug the power, wait a minute, and then replug power, watching the front display.
2. The display will read "Ejecting". If the cd ejects, then you're done and can skip Part II. If it doesn't eject and/or it displays "Disk error" then you'll need to do the Part II steps.
PART II
1. Unplug the power cord.
2. Turn the radio upside down with the front facing you.
3. Remove the 5 screws from the bottom plate.
4. Hinge the front of the bottom plate up no more than 2". Don't overdo this or you'll damage various ribbon cables inside. Use extra hands or a prop to keep it open this amount.
5. Reach inside and tilt-up the front of cd player's metal housing just enough to access the rims of the cd(s) within the space created in step 4.
6. Pinch the rim(s) of the cd(s) and gently pull it/them out.
7. Reverse these steps to reassemble your radio.
Enjoy your cd player again!
Bose cd changer keeps saying disc error
If it's on just one disc, the disc is dirty or fingerprinted or scratched or in some way damaged. Inspect and clean, try again, and if that doesn't work, discard it. On the other hand, if the radio rejects lots of discs, that means the CD player needs service. Send it to Bose.
Fm radio static solutions
yes if there's no antenna the cable should be stretch out towards outdoor and try to put the radio somewhere best static is out; other thing can be that the radio station is too far!
My cd will not play
did you trye a new cd not the same one but a different one ?? it could be the cd not the player !
Too much base
But bass is that characteristic sound that Bose is known for....
That said, I agree with you Kathy. These sets can be a little on the boomy side. You do not say what model you have, but as a rule, these radios do not have tone controls. The later versions do have a "talk radio" mode that you can select, and this does affect the tone settings. I can't remember it increases or decreases the bass level, but whatever it does, it is substantial. Give this a try if you have a later version of the radio. Also, placement of the radio has a big effect on frequency attenuation. If you want to decrease the bass level, move the radio away from the wall...., certainly don't put it in a corner (two walls increase the bass level), and get it up off the ground (if it is near the floor... which acts like a "third" wall).
Hope this helps.
You all are not answering my question
Do you have the warranty paperwork for the radio? If so, then check that first. Otherwise, I would go to the Bose website and see where they say to send it for service.
