For model years 1970 to 1979, the only information available is the first and last serial number produced- no model names or numbers are available. 1973 serial numbers are 75603 to 95496, so your guitar serial number would be towards the end of 1973 in Westerly, RI.
The value is hard to say- the instruments from that era can be valuable: instruments of that era have sold on EBay from between $800.00 to over $2,000.
As always, it's worth exactly what someone will pay for it- Good luck!

That number is for a guitar made in 1979.
Hi,
I have a guild guitar
Plugging in the guitar cable closes the battery circuit in the guitar. The circuitry in there has a short that when the battery is connected draws massive battery current. The circuitry needs to be troubleshot to find the short. You can troubleshoot this wit just a multimeter. Of course if you have a warranty, exercise it. The short could be most anyplace and since unit is new, it may even be a wiring error. A visula inspection may uncover a solder bridge or a pinched wire. Forst investigate warranty.

Guitar serial numbers
I can't find that one in the Guild website.
Can you tell me the model number of the instrument?
Because according to the Guild database, it doesn't exist.
Is it possibly one of those guitars "by Guild" like the Madeira, or the DeArmond?

The most likely case is that one of the main output transistors (if which there are many) is shorted. When the protect circuit senses DC on the final output, it will not allow the output relay to come on to protect the speakers from raw DC. With the power removed, you can check between each outputs Emitter and Collector and you will probably find close to zero ohms. From that point you need to unsolder each of the pins of the bad channel until you find the shorted device(s) and replace them.

No or very little sound from Fender passport
Depending on the model, there are four around that date, it could be the insert jacks are tarnished reducing the signal flow between the pre amp stage and digital power amplifier. It could be the power amplifier has failed. It could even be customer error in wiring.
This assumes there is the correct level of signal entering the input sockets of course.
