Incoming fax shows one half of the page

The Thermal printhead is most likely burned out on one side and will need replaced. It could also be the printhead connector has worked loose and is only making partial contact. Remove the connector and reinstall. If that doesn't solve the problem then it would be cheaper to purchase another fax.

Fax is not going through.

What you are probably experiencing is the fax machine is not getting a dial tone from your line, thus giving you a error.

Many times things get moved, paper runs out, ink runs low or the line gets unplugged. We suggest you check the line making sure it has a dial tone, checking your ink would be another great step.

Many times these machines get dirty with would cause the black ink run on the sides of the paper. You could clean that out with a can of compressed air. You would do this by opening the machine as you where to change the ink in it. You would give it a couple blast of air at the exit paper trail.

The other thing is this is thermal meaning the ink is super heated onto the paper, if there is any residue of ink this would cause this issue.

Now the error message you did not give us, I would be interested it knowing the error code before I can make further comment on how to proceed with the sending issue. Many reasons are:

1. No dial tone
2. Paper jammed inside the machine
3. OCR scanner errors

Please let us know what the error code is so we can give you a great solution on what to do from there. We do Thank You for using Fixya.com Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/edwy_1a56970cf1ea4620
