The project turns on for only about 10sec and then shuts down and i get a color wheel error ??

You need to check the power supply feed to the lamp circuit and if this is workingg fine check if there is lamp reset- hours used. Also if the filter is blocked remove and clean, check the fan and also the connections/connectors in the mother board.If not there can be errors in the motherboard.

if it is from cd player the you just need audio video cable to connect,just connect it between two device and let your d510 find source auto good luck

some projector are normal like what what you mention...you need to connect a video source like computer or sound system that have a video output going to your projector...because if you power on the projector with out a video source you see only what you mention the logo of the projector..

It could be the lamp life needs resetting or the filter life needs resetting. Hopefully so, otherwise it could be a faulty lamp module.
