How to set my DVD/VHS Govideo player...
If you used to put the TV on channel 3 to watch the videos that means you had this hooked up with the RF RG6 COAX cable. You most likely had this passing thru the cable box and then to the TV, but with the new digital format that may not work any more. A quick fix for this is to take the coax wire from the player and hook it up directly to the TV Cable port then flip your tv to 3 and it should work. If you have an older tv without the newer connections you may have this port already in use with the cable box - if that is the case you may need to get an RF switch or splitter. hope this helps If you need further help, reach me via phone at

HOW DO I HOOK UP TO TV
If you have HDMI inputs and outputs I would go that route. Plug one end of the HDMI cable to the Output of the DVD player and the other end to the HDMI input on the TV. When you want to watch a DVD then you will have to select the input the DVD player is plugged into. Use your Source/Input button on your remote to toggle between the inputs.
How do you get to the head to clean it?
Google for CD/DVD cleaners and VHS cleaners. A CD/DVD cleaner is like a CD, but has a small built in brush that'll clean the laser head. A VHS cleaner is like a VHS cassette tape, but instead of magnetic tape, it's a cleansing tape.
Reset to factory defau;ts
Small print in the manual says to hold down the 100/P.Scan button on the remote to toggle between progressive and interlaced. This was after I blindly tried to follow the setup screens in the manual and found that the manual doesn't match the exact screens (must be a firmware difference?) in the manual.
Also found that the factory default instructions in the manual do not include a yes/no confirmation screen.
Dvd player problem
get a dvd cleaner from best buy. mine did the same thing, it would not play any dvds so i resorted to vhs, and once i had watched all of those, i finally got a dvd cleaner and now it works fine
DV2150 remote quit. changed batteries,
I went to the link for remotes.com. the original is there for $60.00 + shipping. Time to buy a new unit instead. thanks for your web site. it was very helpful.
GO VIDEO DV2150
you can try going from the wall to the dvd/vcr first then to the cable box then to the TV.
It may find the channels but they might not be in the order you usually wouls see them i.e chan 4 may be chan 34 etc.
this will only work on an analog connection, if you have digital cable box it will not work.
other than that, you have to control everythng from the cable box and the dvd remains on chan 3 at all times.
Beocenter 1
you could also check that the regioncount hasn't been exceeded it can only be changed a certain number of times
