If has lost color on more than one source( just to verify it's not a bad cable or hook up) it's probably a broken color wheel. You can usually see the color wheel when you remove the lamp. There should be a glass looking disc right where the lamp would shine, the wheel will have segments with different colors.
The tv have clicking sound alot too?Yes,the tv the board that call the Ballast board is dead too.The ballast board only job is to ignite the projection lamp.
This problem is very common with rear projection TV's.
It
is related to one or more of the colour guns being out of alignment or needing to be replaced.
The only way to correct this issue is to have a technician come in and
fix it or bring it into a repair center. I personally would suggest
purchasing a new TV. The cost of getting them aligned is usually more
then a basic LCD.
That model is a rear projection and the blue spot indicates failure of the LCD panel in the blue path on the optical block of the
light engine. You can't buy the LCD panel only, and if you could you
would not have access to the equipment needed to align and position it
in just the right place, ie perform mechanical convergence... I'd say the unit probably not worth fixing.
It sounds like a heat problem, i think you are going to have to call out service engineer to read the error codes.
Could be power supply or the control board.
That is a burnt LCD panel caused by excessive heat from the lamp, maybe due to blocked/restricted airways. It is not likely to get any better and a new LCD unit will be required to repair it along with new filters and maybe a fan.
Lamps have a limited life. They useually last 1000 hours or so. If the TV is on from 07:00 until say 23:00 every day, that equates to 60 days. There is no such lamp as a "One time replacement lamp" as they do not last for ever. The average life of a lamp is just about 6 months. If the picture is cloudy is probably needs the optice cleaning. It is very fiddly and damage can occur easily so get an authorised Hitachi repair service department to clean it for you. It should be carried out in your home and will take less than an hour. If anything gets broken, it is not your problem if they are heavy handed.
ok i have two links , one is a video tutorial on youtube which will give you a good visual reference . reasons being , i don't know if you have the lamp and casing bracket or if you just have the lamp . the second link is the actual service repair manual , which on page 29 through 32 illustrates the process of lamp replacement .
